I'm still pissed that HBO passed on this (although it was the right decision). HBO would have never argued with Weiner over episode length and budget.
I need Chauncey closure. I've decided that Sal found him on the street and now they both live happily in the West Village.

I can't say I agree with that.
Matthew Weiner > Terence Winter
HBO should have backed the superior Chase protégé.
Me too. What an unresolved story arc.I hope Sal makes a return this season :-(

HBO picked True Blood over Mad Men and it was the right decision. True Blood is a ratings monster and they sell tons of DVD/Blu Rays on top of tee shirts, energy drinks, etc. True Blood pretty much bank rolls all of their other projects at this point. Mad Men is a critical darling, but HBO needed a surefire hit that would make them a ton of money.

What's unresolved about it? He got fired and his marriage is most likely over. They gave us a pretty clear picture of where his life was headed.
So Draper haters, who's your favorite character and why?
Just because we find certain aspects of Don abhorrent doesn't mean we dislike him as a character.
He's an incredible character.
I'm glad HBO passed on it. Netflix baby, no way am I buying movies/film on physical media anymore.
If a film or television show isn't worth owning in physical form then it probably isn't worth watching in the first place.
I was being flippant. I would just like to know who everyone's favorite character is.

We don't all have room for sprawling entertainment centers. My game collection is bad enough :-/
I'll buy the inevitable "complete series" value pack, but individual seasons? Guess I'm not a MM fan by your arbitrary standards.
Well, whatever. I just can't stand people that dismiss physical media. The very people that champion streaming media are going to be the very same people that complain incessantly in the future when television studios and movie studios bend the consumer over.
Hmm.
That's a really tough question.
I've really come to appreciate Pete. I think he's had one of the most interesting arcs in the show. I find his relationship with Trudy fascinating.
I'm also going to go out on a limb and give Betty some love. I've always viewed her as a young Livia Soprano. She didn't have a huge role in Season 4, so hopefully Weiner will give JJ a bit more to do in S5.
I thought it was all too brief and though the arc might be resolved, it could be expanded much more. I'd rather see him getting more screen time than Ken Cosgrove (gross). What's unresolved about it? I find the three women of the show the most interesting due to the society/culture of the time period so heavily clashing with them.
Peggy is definitely the most interesting character.
YES. My favorite episode remains "The Beautiful Girls" (Season 4) where they took a bit more time examining the struggles of Peggy, Joan and Faye.I find the three women of the show the most interesting due to the society/culture of the time period so heavily clashing with them.

That elevator shot at the end. #tear
Edit: Betty is an amazing character too (detestable, but amazing).
I fucking love that elevator shot so much.
Go back and watch that scene. I'd definitely qualify it as striking.
I hope Sal makes a return this season :-(
Don's a much better parent than Betty is.

Urgh, not this argument again. >.<
Here's another 30 second promo that's Roger Sterling themed- First 30 second Season 5 promo
I don't think there's any new footage in there, but at least they're starting to ramp up the promotion for S5.
The Queen!
Calling it now: Don and Betty will hook up this season.
I'm not watching a single piece of media for season 5, but I hope this means she'll have a larger role than in season 4.
all the promos so far are just clips from past seasonsI'm not watching a single piece of media for season 5, but I hope this means she'll have a larger role than in season 4.
None of the promos are showing any new footage, which I like..but a tease would be good.
