I've finished watching Mad Men in about a week. This is hands down the best tv show ever. I'm disappointed with the season finale though. Thank god March 25th isn't so far away!

THE TEARS OF YOUR FAVE SHOWS ARE BACK

lordt, I can't believe Season 5 is almost upon us. The wait has been unbearable.
Gurl, with over a month of waiting left, it's waaaay too early for me to be this excited. And yet look where I am.

LOOK WHERE I AM

*faints*

Hmm...

Is music legend
Sir Paul McCartney
heading to AMC's "Mad Men" for a guest spot?

According to UK'sThe Daily Mail by way of The Sun, McCartney agreed to let the drama use his music and was offered a walk-on guest role.

"Action in the show has now reached the Swinging Sixties," a source told The Sun. "So it's only right that the man who was pivotal to the era is involved in the show."

Producers reportedly want to use McCartney's new solo music for the '60s-set popular series.

Shit. I literally just saw it posted to Huff Post. :/
HuffPo posting a wrong story? I am shocked.

I feel bad for classmates that are working at HuffPo. One of them is in charge of the politics front page. Too bad a majority of the content is produced by klutzes.

I'm not too familiar with them, but never noticed any wrong stories before. I just go there for Mo Ryan's stuff, and noticed that MM bit on the front page. *shrug*

Weiner said more people watched the show on Netflix than watched it on AMC so there is definitely going to be a jump in ratings but it will not touch The Walking Dead.

Or they'll just wait for s5 to be on Netflix.

Doubt that. Personally, I waited for it to be on netflix so I could catch up. Now that I've seen the whole series, I plan to be a regular viewer. I expect it to have a sustained, significant rise in TV viewers.

I'm buying this season through Amazon, since the broadcast versions are truncated per Matthew Weiner's agreement with AMC.
Has it been confirmed that Amazon and other places will have longer versions that what is going to be broadcast on AMC? I was assuming that they'd just hold those back for the dvd's.

I'm not entirely sure. Supposedly, the "director's cut" of each episode comes out eight days after each episode, but I don't know if that's still the case.

Also, I don't know how that's being handled by the digital vendors, either. Will they list two separate seasons of the show, with one being the director's cut season and the other being the abridged season? Will season subscribers get both versions at no extra charge? I have no clue.

How many episodes until Draper cheats on his new wife? Should we start taking bets?

Something will happen with someone soon. I really feel like the new wife's importance and the marriage came out of nowhere and was a little shoehorned in. I'm not really invested in her at all and if the marriage ends, it's no big deal.

Let's face it Don and Betty are getting back together but the time this show wraps up.

I agree. She's clearly not happy in the new relationship and I don't see it lasting much longer. All that's left is for her to continue to spiral downwards into being a bitch and mean to her kids or realizing Don wasn't such a bad guy if he could get his philandering under control. Unless they add some new guy in for her to be with, she's getting back with Don sometime.

The marriage was definitely forced in for a season finale surprise, to say the least. I'm wondering if the writers will ever explain it further than "She likes kids."

But it's Don Draper, the man needn't explain nothing to no one
(and usually doesn't when he actually needs to)
!

I'm betting he's already cheated by the start of the episode. Maybe a few months passed since the end of 4 to the start of 5.
I don't think Weiner would do that at this point.

I didn't think it was forced. Due to happenings of season four, I found it reasonable he would do something so rash as that. He is a rather rash man after all.

I don't think they are going to get married.

They'll still be engaged when the season starts and Don will see Roger's marriage coming to end and break off the engagement.

Just because she's good with kids doesn't mean anything. Otherwise he would have married Carla too, lol. Looks have a lot to do with it.

Lol. Well, with Don, looks are always an unmentioned given.

Fair observation. I guess I'm still curious/uncertain about where this is going (Derp, aren't many of us).

On another point: Sterling Cooper, I want even more Sterling Cooper.

I just watched "The Fog". I forgot about that weird cut-away to Sally wiping blood onto her face a couple minutes into the episode. Freaked me out.

It might have a minor rise, but the fact that it's been off the air for so long is likely to hurt the ratings.
