Well that was an incredible premiere, looking forward to this new season. I like that Betty is being shown in a more favorable light (she was pretty much a total bitch in the past few seasons), and Don seems to be going back to his womanizing ways, which is honestly a lot more fun to watch than monogamous Don.

The whole Roger thing was also pretty great, although I knew he would start crying once he went back to his office with the shoe shining kit. Still, the episode delivered and I couldn't be happier that Mad Men is back. :)

i kind of agree with the reviews saying this was mad men spinning its wheels a bit

but i remember not loving "a little kiss" either so im not worried

Same. It reminded me so much of the S5 premiere - lots of "setting up" for the rest of the season.

But Mad Men at its most monotonous is still more entertaining than anything else out there.

Yeah I have to agree. It was just a cornucopia of all the different characters without any real focus, do it wasn't the best episode, but it was probably necessary. We'll see how things turn out next week.

And the Bioshock Infinite ad - that was unexpected.

They've been making her more likable. I hated her all through Seasons 1-3 and enjoyed her near-absence from Season 4. Now her arc is going in a new direction to her benefit.

It was funny to see all of the beards and sideburns on the characters. What year does this episode's New Year mark? Already getting those 70's vibes. To be honest, most of the characters look better with these changes!

Why are people surprised at the Bioshock Infinite ad? That ad's been running for a while. Also, I hate it for some reason.

People here watch the "next week on Mad Men" thing? I turn it off right before that since I don't want anything spoiled. This show is too good for that.

lol....that's the joke though. It spoils nothing. It's a parody. You think weiner is gonna do a legit next time on mad men?

That was the doctor's wife. Don walked back to his apartment afterwards without even putting his shoes on. What I don't understand is how Megan didn't seem to mind or notice that he was gone all night.

And couldn't Don do better than the doctor's wife?

Betty was amazing this episode. I can't wait to see where they go with her. I also like how they seem to be changing the dynamic between her and Sally (Sally is being cold now, Betty is nice). I thought Betty was going to be back to her usual form based on promo pics, maybe by the end she will be.

It's not about that. It never has been throughout the series. Usually his wife at the time has been the biggest "bombshell," the mistresses provide something far different than a trophy or a notch on his bed post.

Yep. Great show, but Mad Men is just in an entirely different category. For me personally, there's the Wire and Mad Men, then everything else ordered below in various tiers.

The way that he's not even pretending....and Megan is not naive as Betty was....

The funeral scene was my favorite Roger Sterling moment ever. The old lady's speech was hilarious. Don puking. Roger macking old ladies, the scene had it all.
