Madden PSP Gamespot Review

Sounds nice, but just like every other portable Madden, I don't see the point in getting it. I'm sure everyone that wanted the game got it or is waiting for it on 360. No reason to buy 2 or 3 copies of the same game, especially when this one (according to them) has interface and control issues.

I made a policy to not buy and first generation EA sports titles. They always need to get the engine up and running as a priority, so there's no time to tweak it properly. Example - I avoided TW05 on PSP but will run to get 06. Sounds like the same will be the case for next year's Madden.

I'm enjoying the Xbox version, and 360 is just around the corner. Two versions of Madden, plus NCAA '06 is enough football gaming for one year. I was originally going to buy a PSP for this, but the other games available don't make me want to. I'll pass.

Any review which disses the passing cone is a review not worth reading.

I expect next years Madden to be much more streamlined too. More features and less loading. It has already happened between Tiger Woods 05 and 06 as mentioned.

I think there is a secret reviewer for Madden PSP and his name is Kotex.

You might be onto something there Bob!

Doesn't help most folks, but hopefully this will work from the loaders for those that care.

The new UMD emulator is seemingly running a bunch of new games. Midnight Club 3, for instance, works now. While it requires a 2gb stick (big game), loadtimes are supposed to have dropped from 60 seconds to around 8 seconds when starting a race. I've also heard that WE9 loads so fast on memory stick that it almost seems as if there is no loading at all (and overclocking removes the slowdown).

Well, to be fair, if you look at GameSpot's review of the console Madden, they only gave it an 8.2, so this is actually not too bad at all.

Or maybe you should read the actual review text!
