Alright, got another deck for you guys to take a look at. Just built it last night on a whim. Only been able to play one game with it thus far, but I won, so that's something. Any suggestions for it?
The thing about Ooze is that barring an announcement that they're going to be reprinted in this summer's Planechase 2 decks they're only going to raise in price. Commander precons are out of print and the Counterpunch decks are getting hard to find. Scavenging Ooze is now replacing Tarmogoyf in many deck lists since it's great utility, can outgrow Tarmo and gain you life as well. They keep popping up in the Top 8 deck lists of SCG legacy opens so expect the value to go up even more unless Wizards can inject more into the market. I would suspect a Judge promo since they've done Flusterstorm and Command Tower but who knows how long that could take.

I bought all those commander decks, sleeved them and never touched them. I should definitely sell that ooze.
The wal mart here still has some commander decks, I'm gonna stop in tomorrow and see if they have counterpunch. I get the sense that a few of the cards (like ooze and fluster) will retain decent prices for years to come. I just get the feeling that years from now I'll think "shit, should have bought some commander decks." The same way I think "shit, should have bought some of those duel decks when they first came out".

So I got to play a couple times with my deck ^_^
I feel like these two cards are the crux of my deck, since I only have multicolor cards(except True Conviction, but I think I'll get rid of it):
Havng four of each means I only need to have one each of my best cards and I can pretty much dictate my hand:
Until then, I can defend myself pretty decently:
WIth all you guys' help, my first deck is something I'm proud of ^_^ Any other advice? I don't know if I really need the low cost creatures after all, I seem to spend the early turns shuffling mana as it is, then wind up basically gaining a couple mana a turn with my bounce lands. Birds of Paradise and the one other one would be amazing, but I just can't buy super expensive creatures right now lol
I was thinking about adding some crystallization, what do you guys think?

This might be a bit harsh, but what quality of deck are you playing against, because any real list would take you apart before you get close to dropping any of the bombs. If it's kitchen table stuff it's fine (I'm guessing it is given you haven't defined a format and are playing 67 cards).

None for me. Pulled my 6th Snapcaster today though from the LCS. Still no sign of Glen Elandra Liege's anywhere. I may have to resort to buying online!
Keep your eyes peeled, they seem to pop up in Walmarts periodically.
They also had these interesting repackaged 3-booster packs with a card in them. I bought a couple -- each had a foil promo Knight Exemplar in it, along with a pack from each set in the Scars block

Toys R Us is a good place to look too. The one near me has two of each of the Commander precons.
None of the 2 closest Walmarts and the nearby Kmart had counterpunch. I considered calling up the various stores the town over (there is practically everything on that strip), but I can imagine that describing the product and them trying to figure out what it is would be next to impossible over the phone.

You can make a really great reasonably priced B/W (black/white) token deck that utilizes Sorin. mtgsalvation.com would be a good place to start, check the forums in the "standard" section, and there's usually some talk of B/W tokens.
I've bought a few of these as well. They seem to have an entirely random set of boosters from M12 and the Scars block in them. The only way to actually know what you're getting is to recognize the boosters by looking at the side of them. One of the sets of 3 I bought had a Consecrated Sphinx and a Sword of War and Peace. So that worked out.
Then the random card is apparently just whatever random foil card they found at the floor at the factory. My 3 were a foil Mountain from Mirrodin, a Brion Stoutarm that was apparently a Walmart exclusive promo at some point, and a 7th Edition Thorn Elemental.
So I randomly pulled five Knight Exemplars in a row? WTF
I'd have loved a Sphinx and/or a Sword. Nice work.
Didn't have counterpunch at my wal-mart, they did however have a bunch of early 2000-2005 era boosters so I bought a bunch of fifth dawn, two mirrodin, and a random assortment of stuff like invasion and torment. Pulled a Vedalkan Shackles, gilded lotus, eternal dragon, and a bunch of good uncommons like artifact lands, lightning grieves, magma jet etc.... Very bizarre to see all those old boosters at wal-mart.
Whenever I bought those two packs I ended up with nothing but crap. Color me jelly haha

I have never, ever had 8 white mana on board. I may need to fix that. I hope to be able to create an all angel standard deck.

Why only white mana? It actually shouldn't be too hard if you ramp with green, especially with all the white/green tokens until you can play that.

Ummm, did you even read the card? I think an 8/8 flying vigilance and NOTHING you own can be destroyed is very possibly a game winner...

Oh yeah...and since she's indestructible, damage can't kill her....you'll need 2 Dismembers for her.
And in EDH, only a handful of cards can exile her....Reanimator EDH will love her...thanks to Entomb-Animate Dead shenanigans.
