When does the tournament start up again today?
For a sec I thought those were game screenshots.
What I wouldn't give for an RPG set in Ravnica.

Maybe they quarry all that stone from underneath the city.If the whole plane is covered in this, where the hell does all that smooth stone come from?

This is some sick tech. AEther Vial in an Eternal Witness to return a Snapcaster which is AEthervialed into play, giving Lightning Bolt flashback and aimed at Finkel's head.
Is the stream choppy for anyone else? Was fine to start and now it's unwatchable. I was just watching mlb in HD too so I don't think it's my internet. :/
And then chaining Eternal Witnesses and Cryptic Commands. Yasooka's deck is sick.
Sometimes it just stops for me, requiring me to move my mouse over it to restart it. Not too bad otherwise though.
Yasooka is the man. Getting Finkel to pay 8 life to Dismember twice only to counter it again is sick.
I'm so glad I sold my shocks 6 months ago and basically got full price on em.Welp, time to shell out $200 on lands.
Holy shit, goyf is $80? How much was it before modern? About the same?
Between Modern now existing and Legacy's boom, it's been up there for a while. It's been a huge staple of every major format it's been in, and has only climbed since leaving Type 2.
It's been in the 75-ish range for a long time now. Blame Modern. (It was about 55 pre-Modern.)Alright, I thought it was lower before modern but my memory is also pretty poor so I guess I was mistaken.
If I was to post a few of my decks would you guys be able to help me improve/update them a bit? I just ask because most of the cards in my decks are from older sets (Kamigawa or before) and I have been spending time the last few days trying to improve them. The problem is I don't have any knowledge of cards that came out from 2007 onward really! I am open to any cards since I play casual for the most part, but I still want good decks.

Played my first ever M13 swiss draft just now - I finally found myself with some free time. Drafted a sweet UB deck. 2 Harbor Bandits, 2 Liliana Shades, 2 Scroll Thieves, Murder (only saw one the whole draft, sadly, which turned out to be my undoing), Archaeomancer, Clone, sideboard Harbor Serpent for the mirror, etc. Plus a really greedy splash: 1 mountain for a Chandra's Fury. I went in basically biasing myself to beat creature decks.
Round 1 I smashed an Esper deck. Round 2 I lost in a very, very tight match against a RW exalted deck (he topdecked an X burn spell the turn before I swung for lethal in game 2, and then I never drew a third swamp game three and had to pop Mutilate with only two swamps just to survive another couple of turns while leaving a Griffin Protector in the air). Round 3 I was simply massacred by an RB control deck that apparently managed to pick up every single burn spell in the pool.
The draft format actually seems fairly interesting compared to previous core sets. I would definitely be interested in drafting it again in the future, which I don't think I ever would have said about previous core sets.
Mockups. Stomping Ground looks much better in-frame. Steam Vents? Less so.

I would suggest boxes of commons/uncommons. A lot of card stores make those out of the left overs from opening packs themselves.
BTW lots of art from RTR and Gatecrash was spoiled

Check out some of the 2-player products they make like Duel Decks and stuff alsoSo I haven't played Magic in about 15 years give or take, but just picked up the 2012 beginner set for my g/f and me. I'm curious what the best avenue for someone like us who will likely never play much outside of with each other, to get some more cards to play around with and not spend much in doing so, seeing as we aren't looking to be heavily invested. ebay perhaps? thoughts?
Lol, first thing I thought of too. Can't see anything but monsters incWhere's his big blue friend?
