WTFFFFFFFFF? Cavern is like $30 a pop and Temporal $20. Rage!

Lingering Souls doesn't power up CotP though, and he has plenty of 3 drops already.

narcosis219, I'd take out 2 Gather the Townfolks for Cloudshifts and main board 2 or 3 O-rings (taking out 1 Paladin, 1 Blade Splicer, and maybe 1 Restoration Angel. I like to also run 1 Faithless Shield. Add 2-3 Moorland Haunts because it adds values to all of your creatures and benefits from Honor of the Pure.

Moorlands? I dont think i want to splash in islands cause it will mess with my draw consistency and i dont have glacial fortress/seachrome on me.

Ill probably make substitutions along those lines though, thanks

I dunno. I'd try out your deck as is. It wants to be a linear aggro deck with a couple of tricks. Change out too many ways to deal damage to play more tricks and you have a middling deck that doesn't seem to do any one thing really well.

Really, you should play a bunch of games and see what happens.

Ah, yeah then I wouldn't bother without the duolands. I run monowhite humans too and Moorland is awesome. 1 Riders of Gavony is also awesome as you can name protection from creatures. It was hilarious when I casted it on my friend's zombie deck and he could not do a single thing. The few kill cards he tried to target it with, I just Cloudshift or Faithless Shield it lol.

So I decided to make a deck with the new cards I got and some random old ones. I'm planning of cutting down a little on instants and creatures, so maybe some Students of Warfare instead of the other 1 mana cost. This is all just for casual play and it's 84 in total.

Land:

13x Forest
13x Plains
2x Saraph Sanctuary

Creatures:

2x Steward of Valeron
2x Cathedral Sanctifier
2x Wildwood Geist
2x Voice of the Provinces
2x Seraph of Dawn
1x Sigarda, Host of Herons
1x Qasali Ambusher
1x Rhox Bodyguard
1x Thraben Valiant
1x Nearheath Pilgrim
1x Midnight Duelist
1x Howlgeist
1x Archangel
1x Vorstclaw
1x Goldnight Redeemer

Instant:

3x Turn to Mist
3x Natural End
2x Æthertow
2x Angel's Mercy
2x Barkshell Blessing
2x Cursebreak
2x Righteous Blow
1x Sigil Blessing
1x Terrifying Presence
1x Zealous Strike
1x Cloudshift

Enchantments:
2x Bower Passage
1x Curse of Chains
1x Grounded
1x Oakenform
1x Builder's Blessing

Sorcery:

3x Rampant Growth
2x Lair Delve
1x Rain of Thorns

Artifact:

3x Scroll of Avacyn
1x Bladed Bracers

Well, looks fun to play! When you play it, keep track of what you wish you could've done and adjust to fit your tastes!

I really like Bladed Bracers, btw. Fun little artifact

I ended up buying one of these things to hold my cards which were overfilling the fat pack boxes I had been using.

It is far larger than you would expect based on the picture. Thankfully I have a long way to go till I fill it.

I need the storage space, especially after doing Innistrad limited so much, but I'm not a huge fan of the white cardboard look. I should look into making something nice like WW was working on.

I did not think I would like playing Tibalt, but since I've pulled two of him, I'm trying him out. I actually do not mind him. His +1 is basically: Don't like your hand? Have a chance at getting a better card!

Also, using his -4 after a Reforge the Soul is pretty slick :p

Yeah, I see Tibalt in the same light as Shrine. Slowly ticking up, forcing your opponent to either waste time and energy dealing with him, or get a hurting later on.

It'll probably be a $5-10 mythic as long as no one breaks him before AVR is released on MTGO.

For those box storage, what do you use to prevent the cards from sliding all over any space left in the slots? I tend to lay a deck box inbetween but hate the fact that I always forget I place my decks in there lol.

I dream of pulling some Tibalts when AVR hits MTGO and exploring what he can do to a Burning Vengeance deck.

I don't think he'd be that good, I would rather cast both sides of the flashback cards than randomly discard them before using. You have so much draw available in that deck anyway.

Those cardboard things you get with fat packs work really well. You can cut them to fit as you use up box space. Also, basic land, or even trash commons. Cards from defunct ccgs I will never play again, like spellforce or overpower. Newspaper, paper towels or cloth, depending on how obsessive you are with pristine cards...Heck i bet I could put together some kind of LEGO contraption to get the job done ;)

Well, I've won 6 out of 10 matches. Mostly I just had trouble bringing in creatures faster. I'm looking for some lower cost creatures to bring out, green or white. Steward of Valeron helped quite a bit in my last few matches.

Generally, when you have them shipped from Amazon, you'll received the not assembled box within a huge cardboard box. Take scissors and cut out strips of cardboard that you need. then, as your collection grows, just fold it back to adjust.

I'm having a problem with figuring out how to transport my collection. I'm moving from Knoxville, TN to Las Vegas and can't find a good way to move all my cards. Currently, they're in the 5k size boxes, but shipping a full size of that is neither easy nor cheap.

I feel like mono white humans for type 2 should be strong, but I just cant find the motivation to throw it together

4X mirran crusador
4X fiend hunter
4X champion of the parish
2X blade splicer
2X silverblade paladin
4X Hero of bladehold
4X Thalia
4X Grand abolisher
2X Thraben Doomsayer

4X O ring
2X sword of feast and famine
2X sword of war and peace

22X plains

Maybe throw Avacyn and some avacyian priests in the sideboard with some wogs or something.

Well, look back a page and check my list out. It has some flicker tricks in there to keep things a bit less brain-dead when you're playing.

4 thalia's might be a problem because she is a Legendary creature. Also, I think paired with abolisher might be overkill. I'd say one or the other.

Thats supposed to be 2 Thalias, I was wondering why my count was off and I had to leave out some cards.

So i put in Mr. Hayne's deck and played a game on cockatrice.

Kept a 6 land hand. Top decked 3 Temporal masteries at one point in the match.

It was glorious.

Might as well most my Humans deck.

4x Champion of the Parish
4x Doomed Traveler (cheap one drops to help CotP get counters faster and it has nice utility)
2x Thalia
2x Elite Inquisitor (I love first strikers. Him over Grand Abolisher since you see less counter spells being played thanks to Cavern of Souls. Might sideboard GA for tapping decks)
2x Mirran Crusader
4x Silverblade Paladin
2x Fiend Hunter
2x Hero of Bladehold
1x Riders of Gavony
1x Angel of Jubilation (would throw in a 3rd Bladehold but testing Jubilation out)

1x Cloudshift
1x Faith's Shield
1x Terminus
2x Righteous Blow (helps with pesky Stormkirk Nobles/Delver/Inkmoth)
2x Gavony Townsfolk

2x O-Ring
4x Honor of the Pure

3x Sword of War and Peace

2x Cavern of Souls
4x Glacial Fortress
2x Moorland Haunts
1x Island
1x Evolving Wilds
8x Plains
(would take out EW, Island, and 2 Plains for Seachrome Coast if I had it ;_;)
Since this deck isn't heavy on blinking, I choose Mirran Crusaders and Silverblade Paladin over Blade Splicers.

Are there any cards in standard right now that benefit from having a large amount of life? I'm trying to figure out an end game for a life gain deck but I'm drawing a blank.

In standard? No, all I can think of is the Zendikar mythic that wins you the game when your life is over 40

If you could figure out something with flashback, curses and life gain, maybe?

Your stuff arrived today, btw. I also got confirmation that the stuff I sent you was delivered to you today also.

Chalice of life flips to the chalice of death. You can get a pretty easy win with a couple of those flipped.

Don't do it.

I'm not thinking it's going to be a serious deck by any means, but it could be a ton of fun to play. I'm loving the idea of playing Cloudshift or Restoration Angel on Cathedral Sanctifier. Between that and Whitesun's Passage I should be able to flip a Chalice of Life pretty quickly and Phyrexian Metamorph the night side. Of course, it dies to artifact hate, but every deck has a weakness.

Between the Chalice, the Metamorph and Pristine Talisman, perhaps Indomitable Archangel would be a good card to include.

So if I brew the deck off the top of my head, it would probably look like this:

Creatures - 15
4x Cathedral Sanctifier
3x Inquisitor Exarch
3x Kemba's Skyguard
3x Emancipation Angel
2x Indomitable Archangel

Spells - 10
4x Cloudshift
3x Terminus
3x Whitesun's Passage

Artifacts - 13
4x Chalice of Life/Death
3x Pristine Talisman
3x Phyrexian Metamorph
2x Druidic Satchel
1x Batterskull

Lands - 22
16x Plains
4x Glimmerpost
2x Seraph's Sanctuary

Metamorph is there to copy the flipped Chalice but could serve as a second Batterskull in a pinch. The Satchel provides some potential for life, but the other options aren't awful either. I picked Kemba's Skyguard to defend against flying threats primarily, but it wouldn't look bad in a Batterskull. I think it's a better option than the cheaper Inquisitor Exarch because of this, but they both have a place. Plus the Exarch can deal extra damage if we're late game.

Maybe Vault Skirge should make it in? Probably not what I'm looking for, though it would help with the metalcraft activation.

I know we've been over this before but M:tG:Online vs the real paper version for cheapest for casual play?

MTGO: Cheaper for singles
Paper: Cheaper for boosters

If your vice is deckbuilding, go with MTGO, if you're addicted to opening packs, go with paper.
