Let me know of pretty much any M13, RtR and Innistrad block things you are looking for, have alot of scars block also as well as ww block vampires and whatnot

I actually have a Chapel, a Deathrite Shaman, and I think I have two extra Summits as well.

I'm definitely looking primarily for RTR stuff that I don't have. Shocks that aren't Fountain, general "good stuff" cards from the set. (I only have a playset of Verdicts so far from my boxes/winnings.) Definitely interested in the Finks.

Abrupt decay+ dreadbore + Ash Zealot + Epic Experiment (so focused on Bant right now I have no idea what is good in other colors) for 2 Harbor, Deathrite and Chapel ?

Also have guild spindowns and foil promos for all but Selensya (ironic no?) if interested in any.
Countless r/u and r/b things

Depends on how good it is. A foil Necropolis Regent will go for $5 while a foil Jace will go for $90+

I'm not exactly sure on the chances of opening a foil mythic rare.

The MTG Salvation Wiki says the odds of a foil are about 1 per 6 packs. Which seems about right based on my experience. So then I guess it depends on whether a foil has equal odds of being any card in the set or if foil cards are weighted by their rarity as well.
 
Alright, so I got my first (physical) cards today from a fat pack.

I just don't know how lucky people usually get with these, since I've never bought them before.

Here: What I got is pretty great, then. Didn't know it was 70, heh. Then, add everything else, I suppose.

Normally, it'd be bad. But with how RTR shocklands are, you did really well. Normally 2+ mythics in a fat pack is super good, 1 mythic is good. But with RTR even the rares are worth as much or more than most mythics and you got those rares. 1 foil one, even. So yeah, good times had by all.
 
The only foil PW I've ever opened is Liliana. I traded her for 2 regular Lilianas. I'd probably do the same with a foil Jace, even though foils have higher long-term value.

Hoping for decent luck @ FNM tonight.

I'll essentially be rare drafting. I don't play enough to be good, but I'm gonna try to get in as much as I can this set, so maybe I'll improve a bit by February.

I'm so freaking tired of pulling Death's Presence. It baffles me that out of all the rares I could get, including shocklands, I've gotten this card 4 times, vs. 1 shockland.

I can not do mtgo, I need the cards.
Wizards is stupid not to give some kind of digital love to people who buy pack after pack though of course it would be abused all to hell by stores who open 50x what people usually do.

I sort of feel that way but to waste money on gas and waste time there is just sucky. I'd rather be sitting at home but that's the big loss, I gain nothing to actually play with after the draft is over.

I'm pulling a quote from a Ben Bleiwiess article from a few years ago

Using Baneslayer Angel as an example: There are 121 cards on a print sheet of Magic 2010. For the Rare sheet, that works out to two copies of each rare (53 Unique Rares) and one copy of each Mythic (15 Unique Mythics) for a total of those 121 cards (53 + 53 + 15). With a perfect distribution, you'd expect to open one Baneslayer Angel every 121 packs - or roughly 3.36 Booster Boxes.

By the same token, the Foil Rare print sheet mirrors the non-foil version: 121 cards (53 Rares, appearing twice - and 15 Mythics, appearing once). Foil Rares/Mythics appear approximately once per box (once every 36 packs). With a perfect distribution, you'd expect to open one Baneslayer every 121 BOXES - or roughly 4356 Booster Packs!

So yeah, the odds of any given Mythic foil is 1 in 4356 packs :).
 
That's how some people cash in on their MTGO cards, redeem then sell. The other option is to sell your tix to a buyer, but there are always inherent risks with that.
 
So you think it will drop below $32? Just seems insane to be "so cheap" compared to before.

Metagame, Metagame, Metagame.... If the metagame shakes out to a point where the card isn't good, the price will continue to drop. If you wait till early January, right before Gatecrash spoilers come out, the card will probably be at its crater

Many were thinking that Mortars would compete with it, but I do not see it at this point.

There's been like no tournaments yet... There is no metagame, I'm not sure how you can say by january it will be at it's crater...
 
Against my better judgement, I made a modern Heartbeat deck. After spending a lot of money on the "core" parts, I realized I forgot the most important enabler, the 4 x Gift's Ungiven.

I feel like I can just spend a little bit more to realize my deck but I'm having doubts on whether this thing is even worth playing.

EDIT: Okay. Deck is done with the Gifts. It's amazing now.
 
Angelic Overseer's the card I wonder about in terms of playability. Obviously awful against Bonfire, but seems to blow pretty much everything else out as long as he has a little buddy.

Without having an immediate impact, I do not think she really has a place for her cost.
But...I have one if you need ;)
 
The b/r memoricide and grafdiggers cage says that frites has nothing after sideboard, tormods crypt seals that deal also
Ash Zealot hurts too
 
I went to FNM needing 29 cards for my junk reanimator. I left needing just 7.

NOBODY HAS THRAGTUSKS ;_;

Or woodland cemetary and overgrown tomb. Those were by far the hardest to find.

I just had 6 Thragtusks on the field in a game I was playing against my friend.

Granted, 4 of them were Cackling Counterpart tokens of 2 legit Thrags but whatever ;P

I'd love to get a 4th Thragtusk for my deck, but yep like you said: hard to find anyone who wants to trade them.
 
Bought a Rakdos guildmark, opened Isperia and Supreme Verdict as rares. Can't even justify splashing them. *sigh*

EDIT: Ended up just going Rakdos because that's what I had the best support for. Not off to an auspicious start. Immediately ran into the mirror match, except he opened the Rakdos. That thing is a beating when it hits turn four. Had outs in game one, but didn't draw them. Mulled to five game two and never saw a red source. *double sigh*
