US PSN authentication seems to have been fixed in last 5-10 minutes maybe, so you arrived in perfect time... not sure how long it was down but it wasnt much really.
Considering how big the today's update was, not a big deal if it stays fine.
Youtube wouldn't download at first, but 5 or 6 tries and it started

Wow, didn't know their were PS4 game themes. I see themes for Destiny and Call of Duty..nice surprise.

Tried turning on my PS4 and the controller turned on but it's still in rest mode. Pressing the power does nothing. Time to yank out the power cord?

This is good. Maby now Sony will realise whatever garbage can severs they're using isn't working and they'll change them. Sad this is probably what it takes for them to improve it.

Then it will be fine. Only the first time entering "rest mode" results in this freeze. Next time it'll work as usual
True that. I really hope they add the ability to pin things to the home screen.

Thank you, that worked. I was worried because I downloaded the update 6 or 7 hours ago and it was working fine before now.

What...? Share Play is just Remote play rebranded and using different hardware. Tested Child of Light with a friend today, works perfectly fine.
I managed to download it from the mobile store.

Yes but publishers/developers have the right to disable shareplay. Btw, Child of Light didn't work for me.
Ok, got the usb music player thingy to work. It's cool, but I which we could assign pritorites for the PS button. For instance, I wish I could go straight into the player interface when holding the PS button, instead of having to go all the way down to select it (with the option of not changing anything if you want). It's no dealbreaker and I'm sure they will perfect this in future firmwares. For now, it's serviceable and that's an improvement on what we had.
But I can't seem to access the store or check my friends list, is PSN down again? I wanted to download the other themes and the youtube app (I think it's available in the store, right?)
I was half expecting it to be down, but it's a little annoying since we are paying for this service now.
They really need to improve the infrastructure and be a little faster at reacting to these overloads. They're in the lead now, they should understand that their service is gonna get hammered more frequently and they can't keep getting outclassed by the competition.

Hu? I thought this is a system feature and publishers can't do shit against it. Would be the Same as if a publisher don't allow Remote Play with Vita and I think there is no game out there where this is true.

The co-op offered in Farcry 4 is unique to Farcry 4 in that the person who doesn't own the game still has to download some form of the game to play with the person who owns it.
This way, you get a nice splash screen every now and then reminding you that you're a cheap skate with a convenient "Buy Now" button taking up the majority of the screen.

Didn't Ubisoft announce something similar to SharePlay for Far Cry 4? Only it has a limited number of keys you can give to friends. I remember laughing at the fact that Sony basically announced a better version 5 minutes after Ubi was talking up their's. But yeah, because of this I could see them blocking it. They always have to do their own thing (cough Uplay).
I'm sure they can do something if they don't want it to be available. Example: Recording gameplay clips. Whenever the dev deems certain cutscenes/segments of gameplay "spoilers" the recording automatically stops and there's nothing you can do if you want to record that part. It's determined by them, even though it's a system feature.
I'm getting an error message on everything I try to download. I guess just give it time.

Sorry, it was actually Remote Play using a Z3, not Share Play. Bummer if those restrictions are the norm rather than the exception.

No they don't. An interview posted yesterday I think in the share play thread specifically said that every single game will have it, only certain cutscenes and spoilers can be blocked.

Sony are assholes for not making that theme available in all regions. Makes no sense to keep it exclusive to the Jp store.

it just means they "liked" one of your activities that shows up in the whats new feed. could be something as simple as you played a game or earned a trophy.

So its probably a glitch and not a policy issue.
