quoting myself. I tried linking to my primary youtube account (the one attached to your login email address) and that worked ok. So definitely seems like a problem with choosing other channels to upload to
edit: Ok I don't know what the fuck is going on. Made an entirely new gmail account, made it the manager of that preferred youtube channel and tried signing in with that - this time it let me select a different account and upload fine.
My head hurts and I don't pretend to understand how or why, but I'm not touching it now
Ah maybe that is my problem as well. I tried syncing with my secondary account to no avail.

I just woke up and found PS4 shut down, and It's not in rest mode, I left it on because yesterday I had the same issue with rest mode as it turned off by it self, I'm trying to download Evolve but thanks to sony and their updates I can't.

Funny things going on last night before the maintenance which leads me to believe that the auto-upload and full cloud storage was the issue after all.
My cloud storage was wiped last night just prior to the maintenance, I had left many saves there after I cleaned up a bunch that weren't in my collection any longer after seeing the failed upload notifications.
I placed the PS4 into "rest mode" during the maintenance last night. I have not had a chance to verify that my cloud saves were back, but I can say for sure that the orange pulsing was not happening this morning before I left for work.
I'm guessing that Sony increased our cloud storage size in response to all the failed uploads... I'm also guessing that was the cause of the failure on the PS4.
Can anybody confirm or dispute my guesses? Do you have new failure notifications from cloud uploads? Are all of your saves from local storage now in the cloud?

Yeah, happened for lots of people (myself included) but I don't know if it reset for everyone.
The method which worked for me fixing Youtube was to for an upload.
I took a clip of Destiny that I had and trimed it to less than a minute of playtime. THen I choose to upload it to Youtube. It asked to sign it and then it gave an error.
Then I went to the Notification screen and found my upload attempt in the Upload menu. After that I just kept choosing to upload quickly until it worked. Since that's been done, I've had no trouble using the Youtube app.

As id been having problems with rest mode like a lot of others I decided to just shut the system down completely last night.
Now what I didn't know was that even tho the console is completely shut off ( no light) I can still turn it on with the controller. Is that new or has that been around since launch?

They could have an update out within an week or two.
Been that way since the day the console launched. I almost always shut mine off completely

Interestingly, mine was set to 3 hours but to connect to Internet. I changed it to always for USB and left the internet setting alone.
It bugs me that they changed the default away from what it was before, either always or never, as those did carry through.
Add me to the list of people having major issues with "rest mode" amongst other issues.
I picked up the Sunset Overdrive limited edition console yesterday. First impressions of the operating system itself is shocking coming from the intuitive, simple, well laid out PS4 dashboard. Also; whats the deal with the Xbox control pad "function buttons"? Theres nothing to explain what purpose they actually serve other than the fact they are almost a direct copy of the Android "multitasking" and "further options/menu" buttons!
I digress... lets hope the PS4 firmware team issue a quick update to fix the update ;-)

Haha fair enough.
I guess it's just the way the shut down system is worded. I always read it as a complete shut down was exactly that. Obviously not if it's still 'listening' for the controller.

Seems that if you remove the "Automatic uploads and downloads" tick in Settings ,fixes the rest mode blinking issue.At least for me.

Rest Mode was working fine for me till yesterday. Now it gets stuck every single time.
Guess I'm shutting it down from now on till it's fixed. Oh well. Everything else is gravy though.

this is really necessary, hope they add it asap. it's annoying otherwise.
It's frustrating because ever since 2.0, booting up from rest mode is the fastest it's ever been. However, it got stuck twice while in rest mode yesterday and today while preloading AW. No big deal, I'll just shut it down now until it gets fixed. Damn it boots up so fast from rest mode since the update (when it doesn't get hung up), so I'd like to be able to use it now. Oh well.

i'm not sure about vita, but i see ps3 players on my friends list all the time from the ps4, just doesn't work the other way around

Do you experience hard locks / freezes on the home screen after 2.0? Twice already :/
Happend ones, when i was checking the Game Area or whatever it's called for First Light, after that my Ps4 turned it self off.

I got YouTube linking to work after giving up and using my primary Gmail account instead of the (legacy?) account I wanted to use. It's weird because YouTube will even give you a generated username and password for third-party tools, too.
Edit: Forgot to ask: Anyone who connects to PSN via LAN have trouble getting the PlayStation app to recognize your PS4?

Try assigning a manager account to your preferred youtube channel and then connecting that manager account to SEN. That worked for me.

Nope. Most of just gave up and stopped using rest mode until it's fixed. I'm just turning my console off now
Tried Shareplay with two friends and didnt work , it says that our internet speed was too slow
What does this thing needs? I have 30MB bandwith (cant remember the upload now)
Upload is the most important. SharePlay didn't work great on my 3 meg upload connection (according to psn).

I'm curious because I think the maintenance last night might have fixed mine. I no longer see a pulsing orange light, just a solid one. Would you be willing to test yours to find out? my big question is whether or not the "auto-cloud-storage" is holding all files now or not. I'm guessing they increased allocated storage space on the cloud last night. My cloud storage appeared empty last night right before the maintenance started, I still haven't had a chance to check on it from my PS4 yet...

I have a pulse headset and the volume seems quite low with 2.0, anyone else feel this?
Well that sucks. I dont know anyone that have that kinds of uploads so I guess no Shareplay for me.
Noticing problems on 2.00 too, which is disappointing... considering its took this long to get it and it isnt even perfect or at least near perfect.

Did you unlink the account first from within your Google account? That's what did it for me.

What do you mean exactly as manager account? You mean the google account and not an old youtube account added to an existing google account?
Is anyone having issues with Youtube? Since the update, if I start up youtube and try to close the app, it will not close. Due to the app not closing, the screen that pops up when you hold the PS button down is blank. I can't even turn the console off because of it. I didn't know if this was a common problem or do i need to do some sorta system restore.

Rest mode is working fine on my end. I did have a crazy bug today however. After I set up youtube I watched a video to see how it looked. I then exited out and hit the button to close application. After I closed it my ps4 froze. My Controller became unresponsive. Then the system shut completely off. I had to hold the power button down for about 10 seconds to get it to turn back on. It then turned on to a screen with a status bar checking my hdd. Hopefully they get this stuff sorted out. Not really a big deal I didn't lose anything but it is a little annoying

Ok what the hell is up with my PS4's disc drive?
It's been in rest mode all day with a solid orange line like normal. I got home about 20 mins ago but I turned on my PS4 and I just heard it do the 3 beep noise and the disc drive would make like a grinding noise but no disc is in their. It kept doing this so I turned off my PS4.
Edit: I turned it back on and it's still making a noise like a disc is being inserted like every 3 seconds..I'm gonna try rebuilding the database.

Didn't think to try it but after I read this I did a couple of times. Unfortunately, it wont even give me the option to sign it. It says the action is temporarily unavailable.
