Okay, so How do I pause a download?

I'm downloading Shadow of Mordor, and it's downlaoding in the background (it downloaded 5Gb first, and now it's downloading the other 23Gb in the background), and I want to pause it because I ain't risking it putting my PS4 on Rest Mode until Sony releases a fix.
 
Rest mode works great for me luckily, not having any of the issues others are mentioning. It actually booted up quick as hell too, seemed a lot faster than before. Almost instantaneous.
 
uh...how do we turn the system back on from rest mode? I hit the PS button on the controller, controller turned on, not the system. Power button on the system is not responding. I get a beep when I try to eject the disc but no eject. Light on the top of PS4 is doing the blinky yellow thing.

edit: never mind, did a search on the issue.
 
Now you can trim videos through the gallery instead of having to launch ShareFactory. Themes be damned, that's the best thing in 2.0 right there.

Still can't do it without having to close whatever game you have open first, but it's something.
 
Library management needs to be addressed asap imo, you should at least be allowed to 'pin' a program to your main bar, or maybe have your library icon at the start of your list rather than the end, older games feel buried now.
 
Update installed super fast this morning. I didn't get to try any of the features yet but if they're true, I'm excited for:

Clearer party chat
Gold Headset turning off automatically
System booting faster from "resting"

I hope all are true!

Still would love Friend Online Status Change Notification at the very least for 1 option to be able to turn on/off, and another option to say whether you want to display when they play an app/game and what it is.

Press... the button that is shown in the bottom overlay that tells you what button pauses the download. Go to the download page, it'll show the button prompts below.

Mine is 'Press O to pause', but Asian PS button layout may be different from the west, so I'm not sure.

According to the video Sony uploaded, I think you just need to highlight it and press X

Press X on the download you want to pause. That's it.

To the left you'll see instructions. It says press X to pause.
 
So, can we all agree that the 15 most recent used items on the bar, then everything else in the library section is probably worse than just having a really long bar? Now if I need to find something, I've got to sort through everything on my PS4, and more, including everything I've uninstalled.

God damn it... What are they thinking? Just implement folders

Once it starts the background download you could try pressing start on the game app and going to Information. If you can't pause from there then you can only pause before the initial download finishes.
 
Background music works as advertised off the USB. A+ from me on this and SharePlay.

Can you have a preset setting for volume coming from USB music vs. in-game?

But where?
When I go to the store, in that part that shows the download bar when there's something downloading says "Start". In the "app" of the game in the menu it also shows "Start". When I press options and go to "Info" it show that it's downloading but the only button that shows I can press is "O Back". And when I go to Library, it doesn't show the download bar under the game.

I actually don't know what to do!

No, we cannot.

I love this and will be leaving it this way indefinitely. This is the most natural way, to me, to list apps in the bar.
 
Did anyone else hit an issue after updating where the resolution dropped down to 480i or 480p, claiming that everything else was unsupported?? I'm also hearing no audio from my TV now as well...

EDIT: Fixed it. For some reason I had to change which HDMI port I was connected to. Works now...

You can turn off the 15 most recent and just have a really long bar like before in the Settings menu.
