Most of new themes are LOCKED and tell me to "purchase" from the PSN store. WTF?
I was able to get the Advanced Warfare theme to work. Its kinda cool for 5 minutes and I dig the music, but it gets annoying bc its a little too busy on the main screen with the overly prominent soldier taking up 3/4 of the screen. Meh.
There are also game demo tiles locked into my library with no apparent way to delete. Double WTF?
Overall this update is kind of a bust. We need folders and a way to manually organize games as well as remove old game tiles that are no longer on the hard drive. These are very basic, no-brainer OS capabilities that should have been in since launch. The fact that the first "big update" we've gotten in months still hasn't implemented this stuff yet is baffling.

Is the Toro theme in the JPN store worth it?
Can't find them in the EU store but found them in the US store.

Either a new app or a view in the library that is just currently installed items. You can sort the list based on recently used which is almost that but it's not the same.
I could try but now sure if it will go well lol.

no it was a kid he downloaded so many demos i just delete them but now that library is useful i got a ton of demos listed in there sucksif we cant delete them maybe we can filter them out? come on SOny
Sony is unfamiliar with the concept of "filtering." My Vita download list is populated with every single thing I ever bought on PSN, with no filtering or sorting options of any kind.

Are you willing to basically pay 12 dollars for a theme? Because 1000 yen cards are the lowest they offer.

Yeah, the colours are way too gaudy.
I miss the slick, sexy, and simple PS3 default colours. Hopefully it won't take long to get some more colours in.
I also hope they add themes/custom plates for our profiles. Like on PS3 and VITA where the namebar in the friends list has a nice background/colour.
Also, I miss writing comments on my status/username lol. It was a fun little way to communicate.
That sounds like a good feature for 2016.

The fact that the PS4 automatically adds the game to your main menu, right at the very front is a touch of genius.
I am very curious to see how this affects purchasing habits.
Adding a social dimension to demos must really help in how shareplay guests perceive the game. I mean, you could be playing the crappy new wrestling game but still want to purchase the crappy new wrestling game, just because you are shareplaying with a friend and having a fun social experience

YouTube sign in is completely fucked up? Please confirm, GAF. Signs me out randomly and forgets I've already linked it. I have two factor authentication on so it's even more of a pain to repeat the process.

I still can't get videos to upload to YouTube. It fails every time. I got share play to work but it was really choppy. DriveClub was unplayable for me and BF4 was really rough for the person I shared with. We both have Optimum Boost with very high download and upload speeds. I don't get it.

I went around in circles a couple of times and it worked. Try closing the app once you log in.

You could always control how loud other people are (obviously), and in the settings there you could change your own mic volume along with a thing that told you if your voice is too loud or not.
yes but its default now is ALL before it was the more logical ONLINE you cant even set your own default it switches back to ALL.

My experience so far:
-Downloaded the update and everything was fine. Put it into rest mode multiple times with no issue
-Played a game about an hour ago, put it into rest mode and got the blinking orange light
-Hard reset it, it checked my storage and then froze
-Restarted in safe mode, it checked my storage again and then I was able to rebuild the database
-Was able to boot up and enter rest mode again with no problem
-YouTube account linking has errored out every time that I've tried it

no there was no mic output volume control i have a friend with loud mic we looked for the option before but now there is one.
