I imagine they figure people might want to send a message to people that are offline, so they receive it when they log on? That is generally what I do... other than when I'm sending a quick message to get some one to party... though then I generally just send a party invite without an additional message.

It's pretty safe to update, to avoid any issues after you installed the update, wait a couple of minutes then turn off your PS4 and unplug, wait again for a minute or two and turn it back on and enjoy 2.00 update especially Shareplay. Worked for me no issues
 
Huh, I have the Rest bug. Just yelled at me for turning off the power as it's done when I've lost power--really need a UPS for my consoles. Did the turn off thing, doesn't seem to do anything.

Everything else seems good. Especially since the shorter Recent list means (almost) no more janky "still loading" icons if you move too fast

It's on the PS4 store, as well. Go to "Themes" in your setting and click "Find more in store".

Or go to PSN store > Games > Extras.
 
Guys, I have a question. I have been trying to upload videos to youtube and every single time it keeps asking me to enter my log in id/password/code verification. Is there a workaround for this? Much appreciate your response.

This seems to be happening to a lot of us. Some people here have gotten lucky and it just works for them, but for a lot of us it just isn't working at the moment. Don't think there's a workaround except to just get lucky with it.
 
Just got the blinking orange lights from rest mode, had to unplug the AC and do a hard reset before I got it working again. I'll probably stop using standby/rest mode and straight up turn the system off until the problem is fixed.

kept hitting that retry button and finally got it to work. But I still keep experiencing the login issues for each and every share upload.

When I go to themes in my settings, there is no Find more in store option

Games tab in my psn store doesnt show Extras too

What country account are you using ?

Standy or "rest" mode is working fine for me.
 
I'm playing shadow of mordor and the volume is insanely loud on my gold headset when I do certain things like explode a head with the stun move or pick a herb.

Its actually rather quiet otherwise but when there's heavy bass it gets painfully loud.
 
dammit its doing it again!!! PS4 still dont wanna boot out of rest mode!!!! it think its happening when you try to boot the PS4 out of rest mode with devices in USB ports!!!!!!!

this sucks

Got update, applied a theme. went to work

I turned on my ps4 and it just stayed there, blue screen, no accounts.

I had to unplug it while it was on
 
Figured it out. At the moment Australian store hasn't been updated with themes on the PlayStation 4, however you can grab them through PlayStation App by searching for themes and filtering PS4.
 
Has there been any official communication regarding what is happening with the rest mode bugs? Been driving me up the wall and it does seem to affect a lot of people here.
