Then, congratulations, you have the ability to purchase one when you pick up your 3DS!
You'd rather force everyone to pay for something they don't need simply because you have to add a second item to your shopping cart?

Because they're totally giving us a discount for not including an AC adapter...
I don't understand how you can defend this, really. I am far from the only person with this situation and GAF is a vocal minority.
Very short-sighted and selfish of you, probably.
I'd love to know what you think the price difference would be if the adapter was included.
I see that the Majora's Mask bundle does not include the AC but does the MH4 N3DS bundle include the AC adaptor or no?
Discount? Don't be entitled. More like they aren't jumping the price up by $15.
Are you serious, dude? Expecting an AC adapter is being entitled?
You've gotta be trolling.

I'd like to know this as well. I asked in the thread about the bundle but never did get a reply. Are all models adapterless?
Not good. Very bad choice there NOA.
Don't support this shit people. The other regions get it but not USA. Why? lolGreed.
Wait.. The console doesn't come with a charger? Am I reading this right? Does it also run on batteries?
If true fuck anyone who got mad at the vita for not coming with a memory card.
Was def going to get one but not sure if this is a deal breaker with no game, and no charger?! (I hope I'm just reading this wrong)
Yes, it would appear that all new 3DSes, be it regular or XL, ships without an adapter in every region of the world.

I'm sorry but I'm having trouble grasping this:
Fuck the game. So you buy the system, which is powered by a battery, but it doesn't come with the cable to charge that battery?
This is the first electronic device I've seen from a major company that's actually sold without the essential ac adapter.
This is something I would expect from some cheap third party chinese knock off vendor on ebay but not a renown international company like Nintendo.
And people are actually defending this?
Like wow that's some top level kool aid brand loyalty.

We're at the point now with Nintendo where expecting to be able to charge our new handheld is born from a sense of entitlement.
Think so, like new 3DS only supporting microSD doesn't bother me. Sony should have made the Vita work with micoSD card because the size is no different. Not that I care to do apples to apples comparisons here, but I think the bigger issue with the Vita was not that it didn't come with a memory card, but that the memory format was a ridiculously expensive proprietary format.
Discount? Don't be entitled. More like they aren't jumping the price up by $15 [/metaphorically].
When I bought a 3DS, I didn't have any other DS product. I bought the charger separately.
What am I being selfish about, exactly?
Have you ever bought a flashlight?
I'm not defending the decision, but it isnt so unusual.
Hopefully Nintendo moves to use USB 3.1 and Type-C connectors for future products, since it seems that the adapter is a bit of a headache for them.

The fact that you think since you already have a charger and are set that nobody else should have qualms with buying it separately when it is literally required for the system to work correctly, haha. I don't really want to argue about something so nonsensical with you, either.
(Maybe look up the definition of selfish.)
By your logic you would be ok with the next Nintendo console to come out with 300 dollars and come with no controller. It uses Wiimotes to control. I bet you have many of them lying around.Discount? Don't be entitled. More like they aren't jumping the price up by $15 [/metaphorically].
You read it correctly. No charger. But I'm sure if you look between the cushions of your couch you'll find a few.
A few what? This would be my first DS, can I use any type of charge cable?

I am glad the console wars are not changed by your thought pattern.

I... didn't already have a charger? Did you not read that part? I bought a new 3DS as my first DS hardware and purchased a charger separately.
The only difference is that adding another item to my shopping cart and paying $15 AUD isn't exactly The Great Depression that everybody is making it out to be.
I wasn't talking about your experience, specifically, still going on about yourself eh? The 3DS and 3DSXL both came with chargers if you purchased new, so I don't where you got yours from.
Sorry, usually when people say "you" when talking to somebody it infers you're referring to the person you're talking to. It's a proper English language thing, don't worry yourself too much about it.
If "people" have already bought a 3DS and 3DSXL then "they" (see what I'm doing here? I'm referring to people that aren't us by using the correct word instead of "you") wouldn't need to buy a charger separately.
They aren't being forced to buy a product that would be more expensive simply so it gave them a piece of hardware they may not need.
Kind of doesn't help your argument
You do realize we're talking about the charger for the system, right? Not everyone has one, which is what I am trying to get across to you. Kind of like speaking to a wall, though.
Hell why even include the 3DS at all since most buyers would already have one. Just sell an empty box.Why stop there then? I already have a stylus or two or three or forty. Why put that in there? I already know how to use a 3DS, why include the manual?
The flashlight comparison doesn't work in this case. As someone else also stated, you can switch the batteries on the flashlight but you can't switch the batteries on the 3DS.Have you ever bought a flashlight?

This has got to be a joke? Is there at least a USB cable for charging?

Seriously though, can someone please explain how you charge this thing?
Yup.I don't care for the game to be included, since the device is the same price as regular editions. No sweat.
But the lack of a charger (and especially the people DEFENDING it) is truly making my head spin. If Sony or Microsoft tried to pull off such a blatantly anti-consumer move, they'd be crucified for it.
