Even more so for Boeing. The 777 was considered the safest passenger jet prior to 2013. Then we had the crash landing in SF, MH370 and now this.
As was declared in numerous times due to constant crimes committed by fascist Ukrainian aviation all territory of Donetsk and Luganks Peoples Repulbics are declared by local government as no-fly zone. Looks like this Boeing was see as military Ukrainan An-26 and thus was downed.
P.S. this video was updated as at the beginning was expected that this is a video of fascist Ukrainain An-26. Condolences to relatives of all passengers. But everyone should know, that violent crimes against humanity committed by Ukrainian government give full right to declare territory of Donetsk and Lugansk Peoples Republics as no fly zone.
I would take any news coming from Ukrainian or Russian sources with a grain of salt unless internationally corroborated.
Too much political motivation going on in that region to get a fair, unbiased report.
Lets hope this isn't some Franz Ferdinand moment.
This region is controlled by the government.
JESUS!!
Potentially a similar situation to that Korean Airlines flight

That's really would should be done but will probably never happen because of all the Gas the EU buys from Russia.Russia won't explain shit. It's about time everyone just shut them out completely and just banned all trading with them. That government has no place in the modern world.

Knowing a good amount of pilots, I highly doubt the crew ignored any airspace rules. This is likely on Russia. Shits about to get real
Take evasive actions when it's picked up on sensors? No passenger plane can survive being shot down by a missile...

I don't know, but I remember at one time there was discussion of adding counter-measures to commercial aircraft for added protection, but the probability of such a scenario was too low compared to the costs so it was not implemented. Can a passenger plane even detect incoming missiles? Like would they have even had a shot at some sort of evasive maneuvers? I know 777s don't exactly turn on a dime...

I'm glad we just supported the responsible government by attending the Olympics. Fuck Russia!
