Yeah, he's seen both films. There's a spoiler-free review he posted in one of the earlier trailer threads, which also included his personal rankings of a bunch of other Superhero films (with reasonings for why they're ranked the way they are) so you could get a gauge of why he likes the movies he likes.

Oh ok.

I just know that there are so many issues with the execution of the screenplay of TDKR. So many things that kept waking me up while watching it.

It is far and away the weakest of the 3 movies, imo.

I took my son to a movie around that age. He did pretty good. He's turning 5 on Saturday and he wants a Superman cape.

Fair warning, one reviewer was mentioning not being sure about taking his 7 year old to see it. He said it's really brutal. I'm gonna see it first before I decide whether my 7 year old is up to it. But I know everyone has different limits and tolerances, just figured it was something you should be aware of.

I really like Cavill. He looks great. Zod looks great. I hate Zod as a character, though. Ma Kent isn't even remotely how I see a middle America mother. Costner fits a middle America father perfectly, but Ma Kent is WAY off.

And the Kents are possibly the most important characters to get right apart from Superman himself. Moreso than Lois Lane.

I just have never been into superman really. Kinda got on the hype train when I was way younger with the death of superman series. But the take on superman snyder has going just looks amazing. Love the alien technology, and suit designs. I hope im not disapointed like i was with the dark knight returns....

People said the same thing about TDKR, clearly they were high. I have no doubt this will probably be the best Superman movie yet though, just by the realization of Supes finally fucking shit up and having equally powerful enemies. The Donner films were limited by tech in that regard.

That would be a great direction to go. Lex being the "good guy" helping to rebuild the city that's been half destroyed. Making it better than before! But wait, he's using Kryptonian technology that he's acquired, to profit from it. A centralized AI intelligence that networks into the city itself...Brainiac!
