I like the darker tones. The red of the cape looks like it will be awesome in film. I would like the shield to be brighter though.
I'm sure once he accepts the role of protector they will go brighter in the next film.

Don't remind me. Even though it was years ago the pain of what the film was compared to the promise of that trailer is still too much to bear.
Loving the look of Cavill in all the new promo stuff.
Christopher Reeve as the Superman of my childhood will always be King, but Cavill is shaping up to be the first truly worthy heir.

That's my thinking as well, they'll go the same route that Spidey's costume when from The Amazing Spiderman --> The Amazing Spider-Man 2; the first is dark/less saturated and the second costume is more true to the comic now the character has embraced their heroic alter-ego.
I'm not saying they'll go so far as to bring the red underoos back (please don't), but I wouldn't be surprised if the colors were more close to this in the sequel (quick and dirty Photoshop):

I dunno about that. I liked Routh. He was the least of the problems with Returns.

As for the new suit, it's being offset by the film's overall color correcting and grading. It fits the environment, especially when we have things like an American flag for saturation context. I'd like it to be a bit more vibrant too, but it fits.

I will say that the brighter the colors, the hokier the suit looks. So if they *did* amplify the vibrancy of the suit, it would probably be just enough.
Personally, I get why they are important in comics and animated shows, but I prefer without a doubt the less saturated look to the suit. Not that I think the other one looks corny, because it still looks cool but it's my choice.
So you know what that means.
It means I will watch it the next day.

Cause that suit is god awful all around. It was laughed at the moment it hit the web in 2006... unlike this one, even if you don't prefer the darker blue.
People have been far more positive towards this suit by far.

Looking at the static now I can definitely see what appears to be the "S" emblem. Unless it's Zod's emblem....but either way, there's definitely an emblem there in the static.

The code is actually changing and pointing to something tomorrow at 8pm EST...at least it was until the "countdown" just drastically changed and now randomizes every time you refresh the page. I may not be counting down to anything now...
The wiki for MTV Movie Awards lists Cavill as presenting a teaser for MOS tomorrow night so maybe this is all building for a sneak peek tomorrow night at the awards show and the Monday for the full trailer?

Returns suit was a terrible Halloween knock off, and the S Shield was laughable. Looked like he was a wearing a boys medium.

I'm tempted to color correct a few images and just normalize the color.
Over saturating ruins the point some people are trying to make. It's clearly an overall aesthetic choice to the look for the film and not just the suit itself.
With all that being said, we just need to see him moving around on screen.
