we have the movie to forward to. our cast of regulars is just as strong as the NolanBat and the movie hasn't released yet. I can't wait to start quoting randomly from the movie. I have complete faith that this movie will deliver.

The opening - Starts off with a battle visual as Jor-El (I THINK) watches many ships attacking what I assume is Krypton. This looks beautiful as the camera slowly pans across the landscape over the shoulder of Jor-El.

Favorite quote -

A moment between young Clark and Jonathan Kent when Clark desperately asks "can't I just carrying on pretending to be your son?". To which Jonathan replies lovingly "you are my son". Then they embrace.



Corny moment -

Superman and Lois are sitting across a table from each other. Lois asks what the 'S' on the chest is for. Superman explains that on his planet it's not an 'S', and that it stands for "hope". Lois then begins to speak, saying "maybe the 'S' could stand for Su..." but then she gets cut off by a noise in another room.

the suit looks fine, but that little yellow bit of detailing at the belt needs to be red instead

It's the same billboard that WB has photoshopped and then evidently sent off to the Dave Poland guy to tweet in order to get the next step of the viral going. :)
 
Lucky for me I have a crappy memory, so I have no problem watching trailers. By the time the movie comes out I've already forgotten everything I've seen in the trailers.
 
so just to clarify. A new trailer will be shown during the MTV awards, right? or will it be more of a sneak peak with the official trailer being released tomorrow?

Sneak peak/clip I'm sure. I don't think a full trailer has ever been showed at the MTV movie awards.

I still am going to watch :(

Do you think it might have just been edited oddly since it's a trailer? Lot of scenes come off odd/corny etc in trailers till you see it in the film itself cause of this.

I still expect some corny scenes. Every superhero film has them, it's almost impossible to avoid.

Might as well launch it online tonight!

They honestly should put it up online tonight if it's really debuting on the MTV during the awards. It makes no sense cause they know people will do just that and put it on youtube and other sites themselves.

Ugh got to go set my dvr box to record the mtv awards lol

Got mine set for the red carpet too!

Hyphen mentioned Zod yells "I MUST FIND HIM!" but with the viral site and all I'm thinking it's actually "I WILL FIND HIM!" and if they air the trailer tonight it'll include that url in the credits which will go live and have the trailer available.

...actually considering there's no definite 100% guarantee that there will be a trailer tonight I wouldn't stay up either. Though with all the smoke and mirrors with Henry Cavill being there, or not there, the viral sites and WB Taiwan's FB page it seems like a strong indication we are getting the trailer tonight.

It could be. May be absolutely fine when viewed within the entirety of the film. But it just seems a little odd during the trailer.

Yeah, it's definitely one of the two. But you're right, it makes sense for it to be "I WILL find him" considering the viral site.

A lot of people had a similar reaction to Pa Kent and his "maybe" line in the last trailer. The downfall of cramming 140 minutes into a 3 minute sell when some lines or scenes just don't come across...well..without the full scene and context. Hopefully the moment in the film comes across much better for you. :)

the overreaction over maybe was idiotic.

Your paternalistic instinct should be to make sure no harm is done to your child over anybody else...as selfish as that may be. And Clark revealing his true nature would certainly result in becoming a lab rat / being exploited.

It also adds to the fact that Clark becomes Superman on his own terms, and not because he was pushed into it. It was his own decision to become a symbol of hope, and use his power for the greater good.
