Also if you want to some ore I highly recommend checking out the volume extras and the databook since Ashihara does great extra work that's generally pretty funny. As a preface you can read the fan scanlation of the databook conscious free since Viz isn't going to translate it.

Another reason why Fairy tails sucks fucking ass. What the hell was that ending? The power of his "wild emotions." Excuse me? I have never hated the main cast of a show as much as with Fairy Tail. Natsu and Erza has to be the most bullshit characters I've ever come across. How does wild emotions overcome space time? How? I regret ever starting to read this horseshit in high school. I'm obligated o see the ending Hiro will undoubtedly butcher.

The only redeeming quality is the art.

Literally the strongest mage to ever lived who was playing with Natsu like two chapters ago who big power up and became a god lost becuase of Nakama punch and Natsu thinking about his friends hard enough.

Aconologia who destroyed all the dragons one shotted someone who was one of the strongest Mages in the country and was so powerful that Zeref been planning for years to beat him or stand chance and created a demon with a special power for the purposes of having a hope in beating him. Got distracted by Jellal and was beaten by being pushed by a ship by comic relief.

And the moral of the story is:

It's basically impossible to end a manga in these circumstances and have it feel satisfying, but at least it was able to outlive this major arc. And at least it ends with Harukana in the spotlight. And at least there's a chance of getting further closure in the volume release. And at least Sabine got her just desserts. And at least they didn't do a haunted house or cafe. So yeah, my fondness for this manga survives largely intact.

FINALLY! THE CRAZIEST SCHOOL BATTLE MANGA RETURN! Bless the group who is crazy enough to pick this up. And thanks to akito for introducing this series

Kengan Asura impression
A martial art manga by the author of ketchup ninja and danberu nan kiro. I remember it being very similar to Baki, except this one is not as ridiculous or as grostegue as Baki. But then again, Baki has a scene where Japanese martial artist making every POTUS (starting from Regant all the way to donald trump) his bitch, hard to top that one.

Not gonna lie, it is very similar to Baki in many way:
Main character looks like Baki (seaweed hair, beautiful face)
His motive on becoming strong, to find someone who murder his master
Secret society where underground fighter can duke it out
A killer from prisoner who has an ability to rip someone to shred
Narration explaining every move or mundane act (Dude is so terrified, his survival instict goes full overdrive and now he must have sex! Immediately!)
President of the usa as a cameo.

If there anything that i can say this manga does better than Baki, is the fast pacing fight scene. The illustrator manage to show great movement and every fight looks great. The regular old businessman as the PoV for the craziness of this manga does make this one funnier than baki. He is the straight man that point out all the ridiculous shit that happen in this manga.

So yeah, give this a read if you want some cool martial arts manga

3. [Rev] A Huge Battleship | Madoka Magica - Towakano (SFW doujin): I don't really play favourites with Maitake works, but this is probably up there with Debikano as my most enjoyed.
4. [Rev] A Huge Battleship | Turned into a Breast Milk Fountain by a Beautiful Vampire: This was an absolutely flawless conclusion, except for the fact that it means closing the book on the greatest yuri love story since... uh, probably the last Maitake doujin I read.
5. [Rev] Zweizer | Hachishaku Hachiwa Keraku Meguri - Igyou Kaikitan: A series of horror stories as they're narrated by a wanderer seeking shelter from the rain and a taxi driver.

10. [Rev] Zweizer | The Private Report on My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness: The style of storytelling is pretty short and concise, yet every panel is relatable, filled with the thoughts of the protagonist, and by extension, the author. Also endorsed by cntr.
11. [Rec] Shouta | Orenji Yane no Chiisana Ie: Two families end up buying the same house when a real estate scams them both. That guy then decides to make a run for it leaving the families high and dry.. So they decide to move in together and to make the best of a bad situation.
12. [Long imp] Semblance | Wave, Listen to Me!: Her boyfriend not only left her but ran off with some of her money, see, and some stranger who says he works at a radio station has offered to lend an ear, so she unloads all her problems on him while chugging away.
13. [Imp] mellow | Bartender: I like how the premise is mostly just a backdrop for it to tell heartwarming stories and valuable life lessons.
14. [Rec] OniBarubary | Beastars: The world is full of anthropomorphized animals and despite their educated and evolved intelligence and sensibilities there still exists a social and cultural divide between carnivore and herbivore: predator and prey.

19. [Rev] MetroidPrimeRib | Junji Ito's Tomie: Its unclear what or who Tomie is. A vengeful ghost, a demon, a succubus, a playful trickster god.

24. [Imp] Black Bishop | Acca - 13-Ku Kansatsuka: It's a great bit of suspense drama that has a really interesting world built around it.

26. [Short rev] A Huge Battleship | Madoka Magica - Ultikano / Majokano (SFW doujin): Her humour is always on point and the little sprinklings of seriousness help to break up the comedy and keep things fresh. More doujin reading from AHB.
27. [Rev] Dedication Through Light | Abarenbo Honey + Kakurenbo Honey: As probably my first manga in the omegaverse world I thought it was much better than the omegaverse 101 in the beginning of the manga implied.
28. [Rev] Boogiepop | Sekai no Hate de Aimashou: But yeah, overall I'd say I definitely enjoyed it, and would recommend it if you're looking for this sort of thing... but I'm not so sure I'd give it the nod 100% otherwise.
29. [Imp] OniBarubary | Rikei ga Koi ni Ochita no de Shoumeishitemita: 2 post-grads in the science department work together and are total science jerks but then the girl confesses to the guy and needs to prove through science that what she feels is love.
30. [:/] Zweizer | The Yuri You Can’t Get Without Sex (one shot): Lots of great lines in this. Shame there actually wasn't any sex.
31. [Rev] Turin Turambar | Phoenix: The last one, Dawn, was pretty good, how it mixes both the past story and the future story bit a bit in the same arc.
32. [Imp] mdubs | Skyclaw (one shot): This was rough but quite interesting. It's very tropey, but the setting is cool and works. Apparently the mangaka is only 17, so I expect that with some refining we'll eventually see this serialized in time.
33. [Rev] OniBarubary | Nude Model (one shot): A story about this guy in a band of deliquents who gets dared to sleep with an art girl who is always drawing and alone in the art room.
34. [Imp] Zweizer | Downfall: New series by Inio Asano, starring a manga artist facing a midlife crisis. I wonder how much of it draws parallels with Asano himself.
35. [Imp] upandaway | Arte: First chapter was really nice, I'm digging the setup with the contrasting childhoods a lot and the art's great.
36. [Rev] Droplet | Koe no Katachi (A Silent Voice): That was good. I didn't think there needed to be romantic closure for any of the characters when the story felt less about that and more about Ishida reconciling his past and learning how to deal with others in the face of it.
37. [Imp] 4 is a cutie | Cestvs: In Rome, a lil' cute boy is a slave who's forced to box for the amusement of the rich and powerful.
38. [Short rev] mellow | Imawa no Kuni no Alice: when I randomly picked this up a few months ago I didn't expect it to end up as one of my favorite manga
39. [Imp] GoldCrusader | Ace of Diamond: The way they illustrate the action in the sport is outstanding. The picthing panels are so full of emotions.

41. [Rev] A Huge Battleship | Touhou - Amanozako (SFW doujin): The slightly opaque translation aside, I enjoyed this variation on the ULiL rumour manifestation concept, as well as seeing the two trolls work their magic to varying degrees.

43. [Short imp] upandaway | Helck: Demons being the good guys isn't really that unique of a setting but it's actually been a while since I've seen it.

It's the author's debut work so some of the writing feels a little rough, but I heartily approve of the direction it took, even if it was predictable. And let's face it, the pair's trust issues meant they were bound to separate sooner or later anyway.
46. [Imp] Stone Ocean | Zui Wu Dao: This is like a chimera of every Jump series ever with kung fu on top and I kind of really fucking like it?
47. [Imp] Zweizer | Rokudou no Onna-tachi: He receives a mysterious package from his dead grandfather which grants him the power to fights monsters. That is, the power to charm all the bad girls.
48. [Rev] Gold Crusader | WaqWaq: The character design for both robot and humans are pretty cool and I loved(mostly) all of the fusions with the Gojin-zou.

77. [Imp] The Blacks | Epic of Gilgamesh: Hot blooded lady Knight rescues old dude who was in danger on a cliff. Turns out he was immortal and didn't need her help and just wants to be left alone and continue depressing over stuff.
78. [Long rev] Black Bishop | Ballroom e Youkouso: It's the progression of excitement and the focal point of that excitement, something that the writing of this manga does to perfection.
79. [Rev] Black Bishop | Kurenai No Ansatsusha (oneshot): For the most part it's a pretty standard Action, Adventure One shot, but has some odd moments of Gender bending about half way through the manga.
80. [Imp] The Blacks | Saiki Kusuo no Sainan: Usually not a fan of gag manga but this one was pretty funny.
81. [Long imp] Lain | Levius: In a steampunk/cyberpunk world, people compete in mechanical boxing.
82. [Rev] Black Bishop | Unlucky Boy Undead Girl (oneshot): It is centered around the odd couple of a Female Zombie and her Immortal (yet extremely unlucky) Boyfriend. And basically tells the story of how they come to be an item.

Mystery drama | 2 volumes, Completed work, Licensed (sold as 1 volume in English)

Young author Aki Fujino appeared poised to making it big in the world of publishing. Her debut title UTSUBORA was being pitched about to a number of editors and at least one person felt it was set to propel her into stardom. However, before she could ever have her book published, the young woman was found dead. Some believe it was a suicide, but those close to her feel there is something more sinister involved in this young talent's death.

Aki's death has become something straight out of a mystery. Much like the story behind UTSUBORA, there is something more to Aki, Sakura and their relationship with an author named Mizorogi than meets the eye. And it is possible that the only way to solve this mystery may be to uncover all their secrets. (source)​

survivor: Mystery thriller, but not told in a very straightforward manner so it makes it very entertaining to read, and makes it rereading it more fun to see few things I missed the first time.

The main character is hard working OL who thought to be cold by her co-worker because she refuse to drink with them. The reason? Because she act funny whenever she drink alcohol, something that her husband understand really well, thus providing her alcohol everytime she's stressed. Also featuring a recipe for cocktail for all you newbie bartender.

It almost feels like it hasn't realised it, and yet still, it seems to try and take itself - at least a little bit - seriously.

So I found out this was serialized after seeing an advertisement for it while reading up on the Blame! movie. As is usual with Nihei, there are lots of sly references and callouts to his other works - the title itself is a reference to Knights of Sidonia, hinting at a shared universe.

The story picks up pretty much immediately where the one shot left off and is pretty unrelenting. Nihei continues indulging his piss fetish and his girls keep getting more moe.
