One Piece 702:
Still holding out for Luffy to give a "who cares?" response, but it doesn't matter now that Zoro and co will be headed to the arena as well. Really not a fan of Doflamingo's crew designs either. Even though we haven't seen their full body designs yet, most of them are pretty damn ugly from just what we've seen.
No real issues with the chapter though, but just once though I wish Oda could tell a story where all the Straw Hats currently in action stick together/have the same goal, vs every arc having random chaos with the crew doing different things. At least Franky seems to have some focus (seems like Franky and Sanji switched jobs, but I guess that's what happens when you have too many main characters and not enough story roles).
Right now though I'm trying to guess who is responsible for the creation of the toy people. Obviously they are Devil Fruit related, and if we compare this arc to Thriller Bark and most other "weird" occurrences the Straw Hats have run into, then it's reasonable to believe that the person responsible is the main antagonist of the arc, which would be Doflamingo (especially since he has the whole toy/joker/clown theme down). But we've seen Doflamingo in action twice now, and he mainly uses strings as his weapon of choice. This doesn't really fit with an ability to turn people into toys, unless:
A) The strings are not part of his ability/power
B) His ability is something complex like Law's ability, or the strings are an extension of his ability similar to Luffy and his Gears.
C) The toy people are using a fusion of Doflamingo's Devil Fruit and something else (like the Zombies that were created with Moria's shadow ability and dead bodies).
If it's none of these and Doflamingo isn't responsible and someone else is the culprit, then it would need to be someone very important to Doflamingo (as in a 2nd in command) or someone above him (going back to the "young" Master title).
