I don't think the Open beta will win many over on this board. Most people seem to have already made their minds up.

Game will find a niche audience, which may or may not be enough to keep Bungo limping along until D3.

Well, if you feel, even as one of the most optimistic admirers of the game, that it will only manage to gather a niche audience, possibly just enough to keep it alive, then it's pretty much a failure, no? This is a reputed massive studio with a massive budget and dev cycle, not to mention ludicrous levels of influence and autonomy enough even to influence projects of top-tier devs such as Naughty Dog. If, after all that, they can only manage to attract a niche audience, then well...

I was a massive Bungie fan and to see their fall from Reach, etc, to this.....they could have done much better....they should have done much better. A next-gen exclusive AAA title from a flagship Sony studio shouldn't look low detail and budget compared to something like overwatch 1.
