Yeah well, that's the thing, they're telling the wrong story.

Story should have been, "heinous evil champion with a bodyguard she's a dick too goes one-on-one (or two-on-one) against face TD challenger, one-ups her opponent(s) during the entire build to the match and finally gets her comeuppance at WrestleMania when her bodyguard betrays her."

People want to see that story (at least, you'd think so) and the face actually gets to beat the champion clean and have a meaningful non-clusterfuck win. It's so simple a 4-year-old could book it.

At this point I'm fully expecting AJ to retain at Mania and lose it in a regular match at Raw. Hell, at this point I'm expecting AJ to come out on Monday, boasting about how she beat everyone on the roster and Paige debuting to take it from her in her debut. If they're gonna debut Paige, might as well do it like that in front of that crowd, because at least they will know who she is and cheer like crazy. It might even be a way for them to turn AJ face, she's been a heel for so long without actually getting boo'ed, so who knows, have her overcome the odds and do some "show of respect/passing the torch" segment after losing the title.

I agree with everything you say, but this issue is sucking your soul. You're getting in a whirlwind of torment and chaos that will only end in madness and rage.

But you're completely right, tho. If AJ doesn't retain, anyone who wins will get heat on the spot; whoever they would want to push by doing this, they're already doing it wrong and I don't even know who it is.

Okay so I watched Raw, the Lesnar/Taker encounter was shit and really set the tone for the rest of the night in providing a lack of hype for the biggest PPV of the year that happens in less than a week. I think it took about 40 minutes to get through the show.

Nyomi should've kept the eye patch, it worked and I know peripheral vision and all but it enhanced her look even if she has the most stupid finish in the company at present. The Total Divas faux drama spilling over onto Raw and the push behind it is beyond tiring and I'm curious as to what the ratings say in terms of actual crossover appeal because I doubt there's been much. Has the female demo for Raw risen? What about TD's demos?

I wonder if Nattie likes that she comes off, scripted or not as a basket case and worse, she's more annoying than Cameron at this point with her talk of what "Divas represent" and the talk of ring gear and looking like strippers, considering the stuff they've done before the T&A aspects got toned down and WWE stopped partnering with Playboy. Actually, if more of the WWE audience was watching TD she'd probably be a heel. Oh and the ending of their match sucked not that it was great before that either though Summer has already shown more personality more than half the female roster.

Anyway, doing the bunch of guys run in for no reason beyond "hey, we're all in battle royal and this is the go home show so let's do the exact same thing we do before every battle royal" angle, maybe I missed something in my disinterest but was there an actual reason everyone ran out?

No, demographics show that there is no increase in Raw's viewership from the female demographic. There is some overlap of course from wrestling fans that watch TD, but even that's negatable.

In a sense, I kind of feel bad for John Cena. He's essentially been demoted to a meaningless mid-card match against a gimmick team, and I'm not sure how this does anything for him.

He's main evented the last three WMs, and this match at WM can potentially make a future star. Sounds like an ideal use of him.
This is also the first WM since 2004, that Cena isn't either main eventing, or in one of the World title matches.
