I played the demo today, and you could definitely do worse. Heck, if this game were released 10 years ago, some might call it a "forgotten gem" today. Simple gameplay, colorful graphics.

Yeah I played the demo a few days ago. I have to agree that it really isn't bad. There is fun and simple gameplay. Nice graphics. The fields available were both nicely designed. The hitting mechanics I couldn't quite get the hang of. But it will come in time when I pick up when it hits the 20$.

Actually I take that back. In a bad mood and I was a bit rude, sorry. heh.

But yeah, I'll be picking this up definitely. I'm not expecting the almost perfect quality (compared to other arcade sports games) of Mario Power Tennis, but more like the damn good quality of Mario Golf.

The knock against it is that there is no EA options like drafting, stats, and all the bullshit that reality baseball guy needs. IMHO this is as close to Baseball Stars 3 as I'm going to see.

it's closer to baseball stars than a sim, but it is NO WHERE NEAR that series. Baseball Stars is an all time classic, this is a decent distraction. Hitting gets a lot easier. Fielding and running is basically where it's not very well made.

Mario Golf did have some tough parts in single player, I thought. Mario Tennis was taken to average status and below by them completely screwing up the power shot cut scenes. Horrendous.

Yeah, I tried this too yesterday and it was pretty fun. However, I'm gonna try and not get my hopes up. I also played the demo for MKD and thought it was the greatest game ever. And we all know how that turned out.
