I don't know if it's just me, but triple shells seem to be really lousy at protecting you from stuff now.

You should have seen that race were Merrick had 2 green shells around and I only needed one to take him down without breaking any of his lol

edit: plus they rotate really slowly compared to Mario Kart Wii so the chances for an item to sneak through that defense are high

Note to self: Near end of race, time bullet bills such that you will be at or near the finish line when it ends.

Not on that sharp fucking turn.

Bad accel is the one drawback to this combo... since everyone else is using high-accel combos, once I get sent to the back of the pack I am perpetually stuck there.

Anyone else finding the baby characters have a new lease of life in 200cc?

I've found that any setup with less than 3 acceleration/handling is dogshit, especially on places with tight turns like Neo Bowser City.
