Had Naka just let Sonic be in a Kart, Sega would be making this game. With Sega as part of the Triforce, I wonder if Sonic might still make an appearance. I'd kill for a Sega-Namco-Nintendo Smash Bros. Arcade game.

Consider me praying for a GC version. Maybe the GC really is about to enter it's finest hour... if they put out a camera or a steering wheel for this and games that used one or the other, I would definately be in for both. It's high time there were more racers on GC, or time for Stage Debut to rear it's head.

A Mario Kart expansion pack always made so much sense. This is even better!

Two things...

First, coins are back. Some of the more fanatical Super Mario Kart folks should be happy.

Second, this is the first Mario / Pac-Man game ever. That interesting in and of itself (yes, you could argue that Pac-Man Vs. was the first, but Mario wasn't visible).

In a Dutch mag stood last month a rumour about that Nintendo want's to buy Namco . The guy who wrote the rumour has also good contacts with Nintendo (iirc he wrote that he has the phone number of Miyamoto but i think that's bullshit :lol )
. He had a couple of times more exclusives btw , he had one of the first Mario Sunshine images from Nintendo and the were all over the internet when he posted it on his website ( and that site is dead now ).

Looks pretty cool! I'm a bit dissapointed by the additon of "Rubberbanding" to keep the game competitive. If it was just for the single player I wouldn't mind as much, but in multiplayer too? That sort of sucks ;p The lap times mean nothing if your kart's max speed is always changing.

Otherwise I'm lovin it!

and another thing, who's making this? if they squeezed in a level from the Ridge Racer series, that would be pretty godly. especially if it was from R4.

in any case, i'd like for namco to throw some clouds up into the mix in a sense that they throw some good cameos in there. be it characters, levels, or worlds for other games. i mean c'mon, having DigDug in there would be the fuckin shit.

Miyamoto and What's-his-name keep getting asked about a Sonic/Mario game, and their response is always something like "heh heh, nice idea, might work someday... blah blah Mario Kart blah blah."

It's unlikely, but Mario, Sonic, and Pac-Man all in one game would be rather interesting. One for the record books, at least.
