Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is done with "culturally neutered" elements of corporate America and is embracing "masculine energy" as DEI programs falter.

"It's one thing to say we want to be kind of like welcoming and make a good environment for everyone and I think it’s another to basically say that ‘masculinity is bad,’ and I just think we kind of swung culturally to that part of the – the kind of – the spectrum," Zuckerberg said during his recent interview with Joe Rogan.

Zuckerberg, who grew up with only sisters and now has only daughters, told Rogan that he wants women to succeed, but doesn’t think masculinity needs to be categorized as "toxic" for that to happen.

The tech billionaire credits martial arts for his change of heart when it comes to masculinity, telling Rogan that having something to do with his male friends where they can "beat each other" has been a "positive experience" for him.

"I think having a culture that celebrates the aggression a bit more has its own merits that are really positive," Zuckerberg added.

The release of the episode of the Joe Rogan Experience came on the same day that Meta ended its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs.

The company reportedly cited changes in the "legal and policy landscape surrounding diversity, equity and inclusion efforts" in a memo from Meta's vice president of human resources, Janelle Gale.

"The term 'DEI' has also become charged, in part because it is understood by some as a practice that suggests preferential treatment of some groups over others," Gale wrote in the memo.

META ENDS CORPORATE DEI PROGRAMS

Additionally, Meta’s policy overhaul included an order to remove tampons from men’s restrooms.

Meta also announced an end to its controversial fact-checking policies, with Zuckerberg saying "it’s time to get back to our roots of free expression on Facebook and Instagram." Fact-checkers will be replaced by Community Notes that are "similar to X."

The CEO also admitted that, despite trying "in good faith" to "address concerns" about misinformation online, there was "too much censorship" and called the recent presidential election a "cultural tipping point." He blasted fact-checkers for being "too politically biased" and said they "destroyed more trust than they’ve earned."

He's such a snake, he'll say and do anything to make his corporations as rich as humanly possible. You'd think after these people became billionaires they'd prioritize their dignity and principles over profit but no, he'll remain a greedy whore until he dies

Corpos only care about profit, but the way he phrased it was kinda based.

He doesn't believe in what he says, he's just reading a script. He will literally say anything that ensures a better outcome for his corporations, the man in soulless. Say what you want about Musk but he risked everything buying twitter and breaking up the social media censorship cartel as the status quo lunatics were seething about it and trying to sabotage him at every turn. I know he's an asshole but at least there's evidence of some humanity there, Zuck on the other hand is like a fucking robot whose sole task is profit

Why do I constantly hear about masculinity these days? You’re born a dude, your job is to protect your family and those not fortunate to protect themselves, while standing firm on your beliefs and your families in the eye of the storm.

No need to talk about it at all.

I may have missed a lot of what is going on, do we have a male femininity problem going on here?

You should see some of the scrawny, metrosexual dudes I work with. Forever alone cat bros. It’s a tragedy.

Anyway, everything these days needs a shot of testosterone. We’re due for an over correction in the other direction.

This has to do with that damn commercial where the fathers are around the grills and the boys are wrestling and looked upon as a bad hurtful thing for children, doesn’t it?

In the Marines we never did this. We would make an improvised cock fighting ring in my backyard and us fathers would bet money on their fights to the death.

There are a many 6 month to 10 year olds who had their lives and dreams cut short and now have permanent residence with me. All their families got orders to new duty stations through the years, but I still live here at the same place.

I often look out my back doors out my bedroom and have thoughts of the fun we had, the money I lost and gained. The children and what they would have been like if they had the masculinity to survive a death match. I wonder what would have become of my 7 month old if he could have just taken that one year old into the mount and finished.

Well those days are long gone, just my happy memories to remember about masculinity. Good evening, gentlemen of culture. I’m sure we all have memories of our kids in the gladiator ring.

Sir, I beg you please. Just observe. It's trying to blend in. Why would you put stock into anything this fucking thing says.

I know. I’m just saying I like the way it was phrased. Doesn’t mean I trust Zuckerberg.

In the current climate it's great to see them being called out and hopefully more and more folks are coming around to seeing these people as the vampire pirate fuckers they truly are.

People can change their opinion on things, so I think people should at least consider Mark may have turned a new leaf.

Once upon a time, I was a feminist when I was younger, but different viewpoints pulled the wool out of my eyes and corrected my ways.

Is the pivot genuine? Who knows, but it's better than the alternative, where only one viewpoint was allowed.

Zuck isn’t based, he’s a coward. He has no principles, he just shifts his attitude based on the wind at the time. If Zucky-boy didn’t want to be known as a coward, then he could have stood for this when censorship and DEI were the prevailing opinions of the day back 4-5 years ago. Instead he folded like a cheap suit, just like he’s doing now.

Make no mistake, if the winds change again, he’ll be there immediately changing alongside them.

You saw what happened to Pavel Durov? It isn't just a case of money, but potentially freedom.

DEI were the prevailing opinions of the day back 4-5 years ago.
We're all here posting on a site that was very, very different before not to long before that.

Ok Zuck, we get it. You can stop now. You’re trying too hard. Get a haircut and drop the stupid chain and go back to just being the reptilian nerd that goes with the flow of whatever the current administration and cultural paradigm is. This is so cringe coming from him on top of his dumb new look that I’d probably respect him more if he just doubled down on censorship. It’s clear he’s a snake with no real principles. We all know he’d be going in the opposite direction if Kamala won. Which, frankly, is fine. He’s running a business. But let’s not pretend he’s something he’s not. No real backbone.

He dresses like he sells shitty weed to high schoolers.

He is walking social engineering 101. Like Jesus christ, anyone buying into this dude is a fucking dumbass.
Similar to Steve Jobs, he dresses down trying to be techie hip to the masses hoping customers see him as a down the earth chummy guy. And not a corporate billionaire.

But then when he shows up in court, he dresses in suit and tie with cut and combed hair.

Is he talking about himself? Zuck trying to be masculine:

Masculinity doesn’t need to take a back seat to inclusiveness. This also means it goes both ways.

Timing of all this is laughable though. He will switch again once the Dems get back into power.

Genuine or not, the fact that Meta is gutting its DEI programs and its various safety measures like "fact checking" by authority is amazing, and seems to be another signal of a major turning point.

Almost everything that dominated the progressive corporate world during the past decade will eventually be laughed at as a bizarre historical moment, including all the ideologies that intersected in the DEI narrative.

Amazon too. But Apple announced they arent changing.

Neve the less, if big DEI-loving tech companies are even changing, it'll mean a lot more companies will change too soon. 2025 should have a lot of announcements. Heck, even McDonalds just announced the same thing.

Anecdotically, every guy I've seen jump on the T train becomes conservative. I've seen so many 180° turns in political views. I mean just look at the soyboys promoting woke culture. It's strikingly obvious.

How about less extremes in either direction? This is no better. We just need people to be more tolerate in general. The bull shit that was being pushed before was discrimination masked as anti-discrimination. We need less division in the world, and this isn't the answer to it either.

I watched the Joe Rogan podcast and I'm pleasantly surprised by Mark's change. All he said made sense, even his explanation of why the 'sudden change' happens now. Even if the shift is calculated and money driven, I can't call it disingenuous or fake. Keep it up and I might get Meta Quest 3 instead of waiting for Valve Deckard :D

This. You can see by how overboard he goes, people trying super hard to prove something are doing that. In Polish we call it “holier than the Pope”.

I don't know about "culturally neutered", but working in a corporate environment is one of the soulless, two-faced places you can be.

The passive aggressive energy wears on you.
I had a job in New York where HR actually told me "just going to work, doing your job and going home isn't what we want. "8 and skate" (she repeated what I said) isn't what we here.

Fucking hell am I glad to be working for the FEDS now, everyone just understands we have a job to do and I'll be hard pressed to leave my environment.

Let him frolic and spout bullshit. Just keep and eye and ear on his ass. He's as disingenuous as they come. Also keep an eye on people trading Parties. I don't trust any of these people running shit, let alone people trying to switch parties because their preferred party is facing a litany of music, at the moment.
