It's hilariously shallow - my 5 year old has been playing it cause he likes Venom, I've watched him and he just wanders around mashing the attack button when he sees people on the other team and actually does reasonably well (like middle of the pack on his team) and they often win.

Also, shooters in general are pretty straightforward, you put your target onto an enemy and press the trigger… I mean, that’s like 90% of shooting games.

i´ve seen gameplay and its the same boring shooting style (and everyone jumping up and down) as fortnite, the only thing thats different are the skins of marvel characters.

I've played a whole lot of this since launch (40+ hours already according to my PS5, somehow), and really enjoying it. But then yesterday I got a message that I'd been temp banned from competitive for "detected violations." No idea what that meant. I'd gotten a warning for 'leaving a match' because the game froze on the loading screen and I had to close it. Then later that night I got a similar warning for ... no reason at all (I haven't quit one match early, although lots and lots of my teammates do). And no, I don't feed, or throw, or message other players, or do any other manbaby BS.

The fact that I got a temp ban for no discernable reason set off a huge warning in my head, and I uninstalled it. I might come back later, but this was a "if they'll do X now, who knows what they'll pull later" situation to me. Very glad I didn't give them any money.

Learned today this isn’t cross progression. Immensely disappointed.

I started on ps5. Bought the pass and a skin. Then buddy who got into started on pc. We both want to play ranked together now but console can’t with pc. (Why? Give us the choice and turn off cross play if needed)

So I download it on pc and plug in my controller ready to dunk on nerds with Bucky only to see it’s not cross progression.

Major L. I don’t see myself going pc for this. I prefer comfy couch for this plus I invested into the eco system already on console.

Based on how firmly the devs were against that in beta, my suspicion is that it's due to the game being made by the CCP Netease and they can't or won't ever do a cross-account system like all other GaaS games have.

It’s disappointing to be sure but it’s a free to play game that probably had a massive start up cost with the licensing. The battle pass has been pretty fair for progression and the skins are not insanely priced so I am willing to give then the benefit of the doubt.

I don’t give devs shit but my money if they deserve it.

If one car comes with 3 wheels and every other company is making them with 4, you can bet most people are going to be upset about the pain to get that extra fourth wheel.

It’s a standard practice.

I’ll keep playing but it sours the whole experience and knowing myself I’ll likely ditch my friend so I can keep playing on my couch.

Ya even just unlocking a color swap for an existing character would have been nice. And an easy way to show other players you’ve invested in the character .

I’m not the best player by any means, but just being on a team that’s working together will instantly make you better then the vast majority of teams who don’t.

Having been able to spend a little more time on it, the game is fun. That said something just feels off about it whether is the frame rate, animations, or readability. It feels like an undercooked OW with great artwork and fun (if unbalanced) abilities too. Just can't put my finger on why it can feel not so great to play at times.

Man I have such shit luck solo queueing in comp. Dropped from Plat 2 to Gold 1 this morning with loss after loss. Four DPS? Yes! Three healers in Domination when we clearly need more DPS or tank? Yep. Numerous people saying they’re trying a character for the first time? Uh huh. Fuck off.

I like the approach to Mr Fantastic being a hybrid character. Sure he’s DPS but he’s good at tanking too. If you play him right with a strange you can absolutely go 3 DPS 1 tank 2 healers and hang with a 2-2-2 comp.

I would love if some stat junkie could dish out how often a 2-2-2 comp wins compared to other compositions. 99% of my wins are when people do 2-2-2, but every game on console moreso than PC is a struggle to get 2-2-2. I’ll fill and it still doesn’t matter. These mindless morons, no matter the rank, think “no , this is the game where not going 2-2-2 will be when I win with ease.”

Then the other team proceeds to easily roll. And it isn’t like the DPS composition when people go 3 or 4 dps with 2 healers is even strong. It’s like all slow shooting characters so one groot just auto shuts that shit down and laughs.

Groot on the other team lead to 6 losses in a row yesterday. I ranked down from platinum 2 to gold. I think I went down 14 losses in a row. No matter what I played, how nice I was, adapting etc it didn’t matter.

I’m 100% convinced there is a losers queue for this game you get thrust into if you’re toxic or a dick in chat. I’ve called plenty of people on console trash or told them to uninstall if they won’t swap and go 2-12 or some shit.

On pc I haven’t bad mouthed and in that same day climbed 3 ranks lol.

Solid mix of characters. I need to master Loki to replace mantis. If you have a Luna on your team and you’re Loki now you have two of these ults to alternate so the enemy can never push with ult timings.
