And this marks the second time I've ever purchased a strategy guide for a game. The first being for Xenogears back on the ps1. Thanks for the headsup, DER.
 
I don't know why but yesterday after playing SSF4 I got really hyped for this game, I've become pretty bored with ssf. I think I'ma watch the neo vs cl0work match again.
 
Anyone else trying to "master" StarCraft II (Zerg) and MVC3 at the same time?
At least that is my plan :D

Damn, it is still a few more days. Cant really get to train either SFIV, or in SFIII, or in MVC2, or in BlazBlue CS...

Yeah? I thought spectating was coming later for sure, while replays were "maybe." It's slightly disappointing that either feature won't be ready at launch, but at this point there isn't much that can dent my excitement for MvC3.

Well, their shipping prices are insane ($30 for UPS overnight), but screw it; I'm hyped, so I pre-ordered the PS3 version from them. Will just cancel it if they don't have it by Thursday.

This was what I read too. Spectating is a little more important to me than replays, but both would be nice.
 
Yeah just get a normal standard edition fight stick. They work just fine, but you might have to send it in once or twice over its lifetime.
 
I hope Capgod gives away a couple of those guides.

Whoa, the standard fight sticks are only 50 bucks?! Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.
 
I remember playing Marvel vs. Capcom 2 on the Dreamcast with my cousins in Asia. I can't believe it has been 10 years already! I'm looking into a team of Viewtiful Joe, Ameterasu and Dante. 8)

Yeah and http://lizardlick.comis a great source for buttons. I might hold off though if I were you for the WWE sticks since they're likely to use the Tatsunoko vs Capcom parts which are great. The OG SE sticks have a serious design flaw and am not sure if they've fixed it by now in later production runs. It's a great value if you intend to mod them but the stock parts are hot garbage.

Well I don't have the extra cash for one right now anyway, but seeing as they are so cheap now I might have to pick one up down the road...

At the most, yeah.

If you hunt around (ebay and whatnot) you can get them for $20-$30. Not always though.

I got two on ebay for $18
 
I've owned a TE stick for the last year but waited until a few days ago to transition to it from the 360 pad. The first month (or two) of MvC3 will be rough. I'm expecting to lose and lose a lot.
 
Hmm, may have to buy the guide for some work entertainment this weekend. Added GAF MVC3. I have release day shipping from Amazon, and will be on all day Tuesday.

Are you on 360? I'm not very good with a stick either if you want to play. GT is the same as my name here.
 
Any word on an iOS version?

Street Fighter IV is surprisingly good. Would love to see a full upgrade to SSFIV for that as well.

PS3 version is 50 while the 360 version is 75 for some reason. Must be because of the higher demand for the 360 stick, cause even on ebay it's more expensive.
