5 1/2 hrs of classes tomorrow but as soon as 12pm hits in between classes I'm sprinting to Best Buy to get this beautiful sexy game

Wait, why shouldn't you be surprised? I don't think playing Sim is anything at all like Hsien Ko, at least not that I've seen so far.

I've been playing a lot of Vampire Savior lately on ggpo, and instantly was smitten with Dat Lei Lei. I don't even try to play her in VS, and have no idea how she is supposed to be played in MvC3. But yeah, I vow to someday be able to have her on a semi-respectable team.

The good thing about small towns is you'll most likely be able to walk in and grab whatever is newly released. But another bad thing, stores usually don't stock new things and it turns into a goose hunt (why I order from Amazon exclusively now).
 
At the risk of being laughed at, I need help getting a stick. It's a tough task to do in Canada, but I found one that seems quite cheap and of good value. Now, I don't need this for hardcore elite level play (as I'm a beginner at best), so I just need to know if this will hold up and do the job.

It's cheap and you get a good game with it. The stick is smaller than normal sticks and I believe wireless isn't allowed if you're going to be playing in any tournaments.

It's actually better stock than the Mad Catz SE sticks IMHO. But if you have any intention of modding with Sanwa parts later on down the line it's an absolute bear.

LOL, point taken. And she is pretty slow, too, so I guess you are right. Honestly I just like her character design, moves, even her voice doesn't bother me unlike a lot of VO in fighting games. Tenraihai (the lead weight with the spiked iron balls that drop) is also one of the coolest super/hyper moves ever. Hsien Ko is boss.

Have you ever played stick? You don't have to have a stick to play this game, but if you are just looking for a cheap stick to play with so you can learn how to use one why not.

Nope. I've played MvC2 casually on 360 with a regular controller, but it wasn't the most comfortable experience. I understand MvC3 changed the control scheme so things may be easier this time around. I just felt like a stick would be easier to play.

Yeah, the dpad on the 360 controller is pretty bad. The price ain't bad too, and there's a lot of buttons, so really it's up to you.

Anythings better then the 360 pad for fighters lol, be warned it will take a while to make the transition and it can be mad frustrating, but it was worth it for me. You can always buy a fightpad as an alternative if you don't want to learn stick.

Right, because you know that I post there. If you knew I never visited that thread, replying to me there would make zero sense. I'm not gonna tell someone to go to another thread to reply to a post I made in response to something they said in this thread.

We've had OT discussions in this very thread about KFC vs. Popeye's, Wu-Tang Clan, Kanye not winning a Grammy, plus a bunch of other shit. I don't see why discussing balance relating to other fighting games is such a big deal. We're talking about 5 posts, dude, not pages of derailing.

I wanted to buy Tales of Vesperia/Symphonia 2 but I realize that I'll probably be playing Marvel for like a month straight. But I love RPGs, hm. D:

We could get another 1000 posts tonight straight off of Justing Wong tweeting about how he is stoked watching Kanye and Ghostface playing MvC3, with the grand prize of their choice of KFC or Popeyes to settle the chicken debate.

Kanye not winning that Grammy means he should at least win that.

I am going to need some sparring partners on PSN. I usually stick to 360 for dualplat release titles but this one I'm going multiplat(did it with sf4 too).
