Played it at a friend's house; for 4 hours.
Really like Chris, Arthur, and Dante. Ryu is a most in my team so I usually alternate one of them with Ryu; though Chris ended being my actual main; only used Ryu when I was about to lose Chris.

That aside, the game fell really underwhelming, I'll play it again after (my own?) hype cools down. But I kinda kept ignoring the game for some time so don't know. Maybe that's the reason. I ignored about the lack of modes like aside fighting against different teams there was nothing else .Mission mode was boring, finished Arcade in one sitting (on Normal); but sucked that even when the 3 characters survived, since it was with Ryu the one I did the final attack it was only of him that I unlocked his ending, artwork, etc. And the 4 of us played with all characters and chose favorites quickly. Didn't liked ithe main controller setup; but didn't experimented a lot with the others and by the time we tried the other ones we were used to the main one.

But whatever, definitely trying it again later to see; since I have to try Jill for sure!

you fight in a fighting game! thank god they didn't waste time on bullcrap tekken style "adventure" modes.... although i guess some people might have liked that :/

the game shines in a competitive environment (online or otherwise!)

If you're using xfc for defensive purposes like negating the incredibly overpowered chip damage of xfc storm, you're probably already on the losing end.

Lvl 1 isn't even worth it unless you can drop 2 characters at once.

No one is going around busting their load on that right out the gate... its 2 and 3 that carry an absolutely unreasonable amount of impact on the match.

You come out of a block with a lvl 2 xfc into a combo and you're killing whoever is in front of you. Wait for the guy to slip up and do just enough damage that you don't have to land a hail mary combo on his final character to kill him and its the entire flow of the match is flipped because of one feature.

Watching the Team Khaos stream right now and x-factor is getting snuffed pretty hard. If you know what you're doing it doesn't seem to be that big a deal. One thing no one talks about is that x-factor forces you to be quick and try to do as much damage as possible quickly. This causes sloppy play and you can easily take advantage of that.

God, I'm so hyped for this and I'm not even that good at fighters. I really enjoy them though and am usually the best out of my friends (which then kinda makes them boring). I seem to suck at online though, at least with SSF4 and most fighters on the 360.
I also reeeeeally suck at MvC2 which I've been playing again on the 360. I have to resort to spamming projectiles as 3 Iron mans or Cables to get through the arcade on easy >.<
Been doing decently at TvC though using Zero mainly (although I hear he's pretty broken in that game).

Can't wait till Friday though (boo for UK release). Gonna have me a tube of pringles as snackage and my SF4 TE stick and go to town on it when it comes. Really looking forward to using Dante and Ammy. I love all the things you're able to do with them.

Demitri is there for a villain for the Darkstalkers already in MvC3 (and Midnight Bliss shenanigans; Jedah can take his spot though, son looks beastly) and Rouge is purely a fun request I'm helping a friend out with.

Ruby Heart is just awesome design and I wouldn't mind seeing her come back in style for 3, especially since she literally debuted within the series confines if my casual observations are correct.

As a result, I'm gonna back Silver Surfer a bit, but if either of them make it, I'm good. Ms. Marvel is there because I'm genuinely curious to see how they'd re-interpret her for this game. Finally, Doctor Strange, because he's fucking Doctor Strange. :lol
