Yeah, but Capcom has a history of patching in extra modes for free, like Championship and Tournament modes, so I find it a bit weird that they'd charge for a less important mode.

Although, I can totally see them releasing it for free then rolling out ghost packs every few weeks for couple of dollars. Now that makes more sense to me.
 
Why in the hell did they make the controller configuration so stupid. EVERYBODY NEEDS TO MAKE IT HDR STYLE. This could easily be implemented and should be implemented in all fighting games. Just let people press button they want for a given action.

I saw my order still on hold last night and this morning with no confirmation message or anything so I just went to Futureshop this morning just before it opened and picked up the game. Call around and see if they still have copies. I know on RFD people were saying a few stores had plenty.

For me my idea was to just have my Archambault order as a back up just in case I couldn't find it in stores. You can always just buy from FS/BB then return the copy you receive from Archambault there. That was my plan anyway.

:/ Someone else in the Canada Gaming Deals thread got theirs shipped though. I really have no other choice cause I'm tied up with school this week. Only friday will I have time to snoop around and hunt for a Special Edition but I think they're all going to be gone by then.

This saddens me so deeply. =(
 
I'm going to be picking up magneto. Can anybody tell me the button inputs for the loop Marn uses against Nerdjosh. It looks like the same one used in MVC2, but I i only played it casually.

Looks more bullshit than usual, plus the original dude who got in there said he didn't find anything of not otherwise besides 2 unnamed extra slots.

I'm calling bullshit despite me wanting both of those characters in.
 
OK WTF I just saw something in this game that makes me totally understand what some of the better players around here were saying (like Haunts/God Beard) that just blew my mind.

People think that combos and stuff are OP in this game right now. We have only seen combos of single characters who take out characters with some hyper bar or X Factor.

Now I am seeing some really high damaging stuff and I am not talking about Sentinel. In MVC2 there was a limitation on using assists during combos (meaning you could only use 1 assist per combo unless you reset of course). In MVC2 you can use one PER assist you have meaning you can use 2 assists in one combo.

This may be old to some of you here but it was new to me and I just discovered it so it was a lot to take in. Even in MVC2, being able to call in just one assist was huge enough during combo (CapCom assist during a Sentinel combo was just BRUTAL).

Yeah. Why would Dr Ock's tentacles also be mentioned with separate models like Frank's zombies, Morrigan's shadow and Felicia's catgirl friend?

That second one isn't XFC, though, it's just vanilla X Factor.

Can you XFC into it to add more damage? (not that you need to obviously)

Hahahaha! That's totally happened to me before too. Sit around forever waiting for UPS to deliver. The second you leave, you see the truck coming.
