The LE comes with a voucher for just two DLC characters, Shuma Gorath and Jill Valentine. They will be available mid-march.

So does IGN has it wrong that the new DLC includes the 2 characters, shadow mode and additional costumes on March 1st? But the DLC included in SE says march 15th and only says the 2 characters.

Kintaro said:
Only thing we know for sure is that according to the SE, the first set of characters come out on March 15th. So, unless Capcom says something sooner, that's it. If Capcom screws SE buyers, that would be quite stupid. Opinions on the game are already quite varied. Capcom shooting themselves in the foot would just be fitting for them.

For sure, that would be stupid of them. ill probably just go with the standard now just to be safe.

I'm sure you guys know this already, but voting is up on Unity again.

...I voted for Green Goblin, Carnage, Doc Oc, Sandman and Psylocke. Yeah, I really like Spiderman and he needs some more villains in this.

Someone just posted something interesting in the SRK Gen Discussion about that...but I dont know if its made up bullshit.

"If someone else could make Marvel vs Capcom 3, I totally would."

I would assume he's talking about the shittastic Capcom Store.

I'm sure he was talking about the store as well. But since he brought it up, I would pay some big bucks for Capcom to develop Marvel vs. Capcom 3 basic gameplay and single player and then turn it over to a company that actually knows what they are doing for online infrastructure and features. I can imagine Valve creating a fantastic lobby system with tons of tweakable options for player matches (+DLC hats!), the Bungie guys for sure would have ace website integration where you could see and browse all your stats online and a buff replay saving / viewing / spectating mode and Arc System Works already know how to nail fighting game netcode. Just in my dreams I guess...

"Good luck with that cancellation."

Yup. I cancelled my SF4 order a good 4 days before it actually shipped, called in and confirmed the cancellation...still shipped.

Stop doing business with that horrible place.

Fuck I'm shit at this game. Has anyone else found moving your character around difficult? Like dashing back and forward?

use wave dash more (down + BC)

but I am shit at this game too. The whole pacing feels very new to me.

Hell, Arc System Works has this shit figured out. Let alone the companies you mentioned.

If worst comes to worst I can just sell the game at a premium price for anyone who wants it. I'd still be pissed though.

Edit:
Can't I just tell my bank to refuse payment for the item if they decide to ship it anyway? They can't possibly be such dicks when the game has not even left their shipment center.

Capcom Unity surprised us this morning with pictures of some upcoming DLC costume pictures. Included are SF1 Ryu, STARS Chris, Sparda/Virgil Dante, Heroic Age Captain America, Classic Thor, and Iron Patriot Iron Man. They also included an official upload of Episode 4 of the intro movie (which you've seen already), and a full roster trailer. This stuff looks really hot. The first alternative costume DLC will be available on March 1st ($5 on PSN, 400MS points on Xbox Live). Still no pricing announced for Shuma and Jill.

Just called Archambault. They said they didn't have it in the Warehouse and it will be shipped out later this week instead of today.

life.

That's dumb as HELL. They messed up the guy who was behind me too, but atleast he had the receipt with him. I went all the way back home to get mine, go back up, and they gave away my copy anyway. Great use of my time.

I went in at lunch to pick mine up and they gave me a regular when I preordered a CE. If they had taken half as much time checking my preorder as they did pushing their Free Power Up card, and their Paid Power Up Card, and the strategy guide, and a preorder on Mortal Kombat, and a used version of Super SF4, I probably wouldn't have had to make a second trip back to the store.

My fault for not checking in the bag I guess.

Yes, I realize that it's 1AM PST, but we've got some exciting new Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 media to share with you! First is the much-anticipated episode FOUR trailer that you'll find above! Be sure to watch all of it! Next, we got the full roster trailer after the jump, followed by your FIRST LOOK at new alternative costume DLC that will be available on March 1st ($5 on PSN, 400MS points on Xbox Live). Of course, March 1st also marks the day that the first Shadow Mode DLC pack will be available as well. Jill Valentine and Shuma-Gorath will be made available as DLC at a later date (for those that didn't purchase the special edition of the game).

Talk about unclear. Is Shadow DLC separate from the costumer pack? Is it included? What about Jill and Shuma? Make sense dammit!

I think it's better to refuse shipment in that case and have it returned to Capcom. And yes they can be such dicks. They totally can.

Guys PDP pad is awesome, really good feel, and doing fireball/shoryuken motions is a breeze. However, I don't think the controller default setting in game is the best for a pad. I know I saw it somewhere in our thread, but I can't seem to find it. Can someone link me to the default pad/stick button config? Thanks in advance. Also, if anyone is interested I can upload some pix of the pad tonight.

PS. Pad packaging is also quality, overall really happy with it thus far

where did you get it? it's not available at their site and none of their "retail partners" even carry it :/

If I were to guess, I would say it goes that there are 3 DLC packs

Shadow DLC
Costume DLC
Jill & Shuma DLC. This available for people who purchased the SE. When it goes up people who bought the standard won't be able to buy it right away, therefore not use them at all.

First off, on Sunday I went to a Gamestop store in the boondocks hunting for a Special Edition . I ended up snagging a PS3 Special edition from gamestop 1 day before release date on some off the wall crazy off chance shit. Very nice guy working there said he had one randomly that was not preordered.

Fast forward to today(midnight release)
-They only had 5 Special editions(this place was in the cut) for each version. I walk in trade in some games i got for cheap ended up with 50 dollars in credit.

-Guy who hooked me up with the late preorder was ringing me up.

-Another guy was handing out preorders to people who already came in the store and payed it off

THIS FOOL HANDED OUT THE SPECIAL EDITION INSTEAD OF REGULAR EDITION TO SOMEONE

-Panic mode ensues and he runs out the store and actually finds one guy who accidentally gave 360 special edition to

-He thought the crisis was averted until he looked at the PS3 special edition stack and realized he gave out 1 or 2 of those people with normal preorders

Pray for this guy he is probably gonna lose his job... Also hope this does not happen to some of you guys.

Thanks for the fast response guys! Go get that pad!!!!!!!!!! Had to settle for installing and playing for like 10 mins on my lunch, can't wait to get home!

Picked it up earlier today and played around for two or three hours. Absolutely fantastic - the roster is varied and fun, the gameplay is incredibly fast and satisfying and it looks phenomenal. It's a little bare feature-wise, but I mostly just play local multi so that's not a huge dealbreaker for me.

You unlock chars by doing basically anything in the game. And seeing as Akuma's the first char to unlock iirc, you can just idle in training mode for 15 minutes and unlock him probably.

Pretty much. I had all four characters unlocked around the 1:20 of play time mark.

Whats the deal with people saying the netcode sucks. Game ran amazingly for me last night.

Maybe they played one laggy match and then hopped on the interwebz to whine about it. Or they got paired up with a Euro player; who knows.

The netcode is easily on the same level as SSF4. That's not the problem. It's the interface that sucks.

GOT IT GOT IT GOT IT GOT IT!?@!?@!

word. Though my order is listed as having been shipped, the tracking information isn't particularly reassuring; simply says "in transit" from a few states away as of yesterday at 5:13pm. There's no activity listed for today as of yet... I'm going to be really bummed if it doesn't come soon. :(
I had an update on my package that stated "2:00 PM," the actual website didn't reflect that until about 9:00 PM. And I, too, am anxiously awaiting the arrival of this today.

That sucks, I got a lil' paranoid after reading some people didn't get their psp's from these guys. I saw my order still on hold last night and this morning with no confirmation message or anything so I just went to Futureshop this morning just before it opened and picked up the game. Call around and see if they still have copies. I know on RFD people were saying a few stores had plenty.

For me my idea was to just have my Archambault order as a back up just in case I couldn't find it in stores. You can always just buy from FS/BB then return the copy you receive from Archambault there. That was my plan anyway.

Good Luck.

Just as I'm typing this I got a confirmation email from them, but my status still says "on hold".

One impressive feature I was wishing for for a while... network simulation! Finally you can practice as if there was some line while offline! Genius!
that would be cool and all but online there is no connection bar so you have no idea what lag sim level to use.

Have they confirmed that Shadow mode won't be a free DLC? Unlike costumes and characters, I really don't see a lot of people paying for it.
