cool, not sure how you guys play with pads. i grew up playing VS games in arcades so using a pad seems tough to me.

Blazblue helped me a lot, I think. I got the 160 missions cleared within a day, easily got to number 7-8 with all the characters on the 360 dpad exclusively, so there's no excuses dammit! :P

I think I might be going Deadpool/X-23/Dante, she's craaaazy. I'm just messing around in training mode with her trying to control her. I'm still not sure on the OTG launcher where she leaps back, is that 236B? I must not be doing it right since it's going too slow to work, atleast off the basic BCS > BCS combo, I can get it off her talon attack. Maybe I just wasn't paying much attention and that's the only way it works.

Kinda feeling X-23 / Dorm / Chun right now. Need more practice with Dorm's shenanigans and some better BNB combos with thunder thighs, but otherwise I see some potential here. Chun helps a lot with keeping people off Dorm, but also helps with keeping people locked down while using X-23. Doesn't hurt that Chun has a super easy to combo into hyper either.

Is there a way to link into Amaterasu's super in mid-air?

j.H with disk weapon links into Okami Shuffle but the timing on that is awfully strict.

I never switch weapons with Ammy. Not good enough yet but the flame disc is so good for combos and it's fairly fast. The whip is cool, but it really doesn't link into anything but the cold shot is useful. I haven't found a use for the sword at all, besides watching pro ammys use it to link combos when they switch on the fly, but I'm not good enough to try that.

Well revised team : Reset That Rush X-23, Zero and good ole super skrull ;). If you guys thought wolfies overhead was godlike wait until you see the pros with x23... bring on the salt ;)!

Been personally using Mag/Doom/Zero. Been doing much better than yesterday. I ditched Skrull cuz I tend to smash more buttons than I need to and he ends up doing his punches which I dont want him to do.

That's what I'm having trouble with. I'm trying to up my execution though and press every button precisely instead of mashing an input at the end of a combo (where it really gets hard with a special command).

Despite not being good enough, you should still try to learn. It would make Ammy much more fun to play as and probably make a lot of other characters easier because of the execution you just gained.

I only use the whip when I'm trying to zone or play keep away. Same with cold star. It's like each weapon change is made for a specific distance.

Flame - up close
Sword (thunder edge?) - mid range
Beads - Long range

The sword has way too much recovery time for my liking. I play Ammy as a rushdown character, usually using my assists to cover my overhead attacks. As long as I connect with an overhead (whether they're blocking or not) it lets me get to the ground and mash H, protecting me from retaliation. If I miss an attack with the sword, it leaves me open to a big counter-attack. The Whip is fine at long range, but that's not my play style.

im messing with x-23 and chun right now. i found a really nice set up for x's lvl 3. basically, A B C+Chun LL assist. this will keep them in the air long enough to turn invisible and jump to hit them with the attack. you can use any variation of her ground magic series as long as it ends in standing C. you can rapid fire her crouching A's so that would make it easy to hit confirm

I found that Ammy Cold Star assist is good enough for X-23 assist too, because I'm pretty sure her level 3 is unblockable so as long as Ammy is laying down the fire, it's an easy hit. (Someone correct me on the unblockable if I lie)

How do you perform those air somersaults? They don't seem to be in the command list
The air somersaults are just neutral H's I think. The air combo consists of 3xM + 3xH into Okami Shuffle, that's what it looks like at least. The 3xM might be 3xL though, can't tell with that animation.

Fuck I'm hitting that same wall that I hit in SSFIV.

at 8-30 I'm like the Cavs of MVC3. The one win I did get in this session was a time out.

I guess pure rushdown tactics aren't going to help me out much longer. I understand that but still it's soul crushing that in a matter of hours, I go from having fun win or lose to lose bitch lose. also once your reach fighter level you start to get matched up with lords and shit and man these dudes are vicious. There was one match in which I didn't even hit the ground once plus some matches I just gave up due to the epic shit they was pulling off. Stood there and took my ass beating like a man.

The fun of the game has left for now but I'm going to drop online mode until I get my shit together and actually put together a consistent team, learn how to pull of stuff when I need to ( soooo many matches where lost due to random buff hypers instead of any attack hyper).

I wish I could get consistent quarter circles down.

Hopefully I don't get discouraged but man, I feel it coming on.
Man, I don't know what Gaffer it was but this guy's She Hulk put me in a 10 minute state of depression. Just had to pause the game and reflect on that ass whooping.

Still, the game is so fun that getting bodied up just makes me want to get back in the lab. SF4? Now, that shit was soul crushing.

Tomorrow I'll be on mid-day for sure, I haven't even gone online yet so I'm not ready for anything D:

I don't even have my team made yet, so many options mahgawd.

What button setups do you guys use with your sticks?

It's pretty weird but:

L M P1
A H P2

I've been finding this one easier to use than the common setup, even if it is a bit weird.

don't listen to this man. He is not really scrubby player. :P

got owned by this man many time.

good games :)

Good games! I dropped so many combo's, and I need to stop trying to hit everything, got me bodied so many times :)

I really hate Ammy right now. Only character that I really have problems with. I'm using Cap/Iron/Skrull. I have a pretty good air combo with the three. Usual air swap with Cap and Iron then once I get to Skrull I go tenderizer to his torch hyper. Once they land I go into final justice with Cap as long as I have enough meter.

Ammy has like no hp though, dies to like two combos from She Hulk so annoying. D:

P.S Why did you change avatars MT?

Good call. I didn't think of this.

Back to the lab.

OMFG BEST WIN EVER. I was fighting kinda lame, and trying to zone out. I had Phoenix and 5 bars, and like 3 seconds left. He had the life lead. He started to try and run away, because I would have gone DP if he hit me. With ONE second left the IDIOT threw a Hadoken, I purposefully ran into it, turned into DP and won by time out due to life lead. LOZLZOLZOZLZOZOL

Holy fucking shit! :lol That's one for the ages right there.

So I hadn't seen Dark Phoenix in person yet. Went into training mode and set it up so DP spawns - she can't "die" when her health runs down there! Infinite DP practice.

HOLY FUCK I DON'T EVEN ! !

I feel as if I could just slap the buttons while laughing maniacally and it would travel forward in time, open a wormhole, and blow up the hotel for Evo 2k11. Burn that shit right down.

you guys playing with sticks or pads?

Pad and it isn't as bad as I thought it'd be. My main problem is moving my poor thumb around all over the place. I'm learning though and it's becoming easier.
