turn fight request on in the arcade mode options before you start arcade mode. You will find a match in 15 seconds tops.

Honestly I don't think I've ever bothered with searching for matches since SFIV thanks to fight request. I almost overlooked the option when I first got MvC3 since I'd expected it to appear before the character select screen like in SSFIV not as the last step after picking your team.

Really liking my choice of team China but it's getting sort of boring leading with Sentinel: I haven't had much of a chance to use Chun-Li or Hsien-Ko but hey a win is a win.

So with big/slow/non air dashing characters...how do you avoid constant projectile spam like from Aurthur?

Probably by including some characters on your roster that aren't big/slow or have an air dash/teleport. I don't think the game's meant to work with teams that consist of a single play style. The only way to win is to mix it up.

Well games are only 1 round and the timer is still 99 secs, ssf4 can last up to 3 rounds and each at 99 sec, wouldn't of been much of a stretch to the timer at 150 for 3 characters on the screen... its not like mvc3 has rounds anyway.
It's not 99 secs, but even if 99 ticks was 200 seconds, I don't think increasing it to 5 minutes would be too huge?

Shes in xfactor. Pretty sure you need to be level 2 or 3 xfactor and use her mirror super move. On the stream they were claiming you get locked in block stun

Super jump or wavedash.

Yeah. With just about everyone being able to get a 100% murder on a character, my take is that the optimal strategy is often to tag in the correct counter character for the current annoyance, lock them down and kill them before the other guy can tag them out. Rinse repeat. (Or the other guy, in turn, entraps and kills your counterpick character with the next guy in line.)

Never checked the timer for consistency with real life, but yeah I'm my opinion the timer should go up and damage should go down.

Edit : That'S probably a new revolutionary mechanic that will be introduced in Super MvC 3... ;p

The way DPs register

623 = DP
6236 = QCF

(look at the numpad)

Its irritating... I'll adapt, but meh
Late, but 6236 gives you a DP in this game if you're fast enough. I was checking inputs last night in training mode.

- Get Doom assist to help out
- Pushblock > SuperJump (surprisingly hard to do online)
- Pushblock > BIONIC AAAAAAAAAAAAAARM (goes through some projectiles)

BTW, having a ton of fun with my Deadpool/Tron/Akuma team, very DHC friendly and Tron has some nice ground setups with H Drill > M > H Drill > M either cancelled into Lunch Rush or launcher

Hulk is that dude. So much rage lead to so many bullshit wins from me. I was owning this one dude until I fucked up and sent Dante to die. X-Factor Hulk says chill the fuck out I got dis and gamma bitches to death.

Fun returns now that I've found a tank that I can depend on.

Some people get chills when they see Sent, I get chills when I see Cap or Morrigan.

If anybody played me (Roynell317), I'm sorry if I won because I know I be on some spammy bullshit and if you beat me then hey free wins for you.

MvC3 DLC Character polls will now be closing at Midnight PST!

If you haven't voted, vote now!

Vote for your Marvel character picks here

Vote for your Capcom character picks here

Read the rules carefully before you put in your votes.

The thread was originally going to close on the 28th. I'm guessing this really is going to affect the future DLC in one way or the other. They are most likely going to schedule a meeting soon after to select which characters from the list will make the final DLC cut.

I voted earlier this week. Can't wait to see the final tally.

I set fight request on while in arcade mode, and I will go 20-30 minutes without finding a match. Was happening this morning and last night.

I don't think it's my router settings, because I get matches in SSF4 super fast after starting arcade mode.

Anybody else get this?

Finally got my copy yesterday, I guess I am one of the few that got their copy. I will never buy from Capcom's store again.

It Was fun to play with my coworker and experiment with different characters. I don't have a definitive team yet, but I trying to find a good mix of anti-sent and zoning.

Chunli and x-23 are excellent rush down for my style, but I don't think I will touch ranked until I get my teams ready.

Right now my only complaints are with the online UI. Capcom should have learned from SSFIV and I hope the patch fixes this.

Got a few questions
1. How do you get the dummy to record actions in Training? didn't see any option when I looked.
2. Is there a faster way to see the mission objectives or do I really have to go the menus?
3. can someone pm me the link to justin's wolverine and akuma match?

look me up tonight If you want to mess around

try practice mode? Hope that helps because that's the only way to get matches so far.

Bring back Gambit, Strider, Cable, and Gold Warmachine.

I'm trying to work on blocking in this game and not mashing shit out. So much bs can be avoided with patience. Fuck phoenix though, and her insane amount of chip damage when she turns dark. Ran into one for the first time today, and had no clue what to do. Almost lamed it out, but I dropped block and lost with like 2 secs on the clock. smh.

This is one of those stupid newbie questions here: The Shoryuken motion. Any good way to re-learn that after having my muscle memory tainted by the shortcuts in SSFIV?

Right now I've got a Training set up where all I'm doing is hitting various timings of F, D, and DF + Attack on my arcade stick and it's just not working out that well. Well, I hit a Raging Demon once in a while to take out frustrations on poor Spider-Man. Do I just keep at it until it sticks? That was how I got it in SSFIV. Practice until I can do ten repetitions to the right, the followed by 10 repetitions to the left, then followed by 20 repetitions alternating.

It does seem a bit of a brute force solution, but playing Felicia without having the DP motion down 100% is just going to end badly.

Well 5 games online, and not a win. Got absolutely demolished in my last 2 games...one guy combo'd my starting Tron to like 10% health before I hit the ground.

I would play more, but I'd say I get Failed To Join Game 90% of the time.
Had this problem also, running into Rookie Pro's trashing me, took 4 losses the last two being really close before I finally got my first win, all the while having Failed to Join Game every other moment.

My day one combo from drill: M > flamethrower > j.M > j.S > M > H > Lunch/Launcher. I'm having so much trouble with srk motions at the moment, I'm terrible with it in combos.

My team is Deadpool/Zero/Tron at the moment, I've been using the Deadpool ground assist for a basic Zero relaunch combo, but after seeing ClakeyD use his OTG assist to combo into the big hammer servbot super, I'll have to get that combo down.

DAMN.

Also Spencer seems really good.

You ain't seen NOTHING yet with Spencer.
I've been playing with him using various assists to extend his combos since so many involve him wall bouncing his opponent or OTG-ing his opponents. Some are just insane.

If you want to have fun get someone in the corner and while your combo-ing away and there expecting either jawbreaker or armor piercer use his L bionic arm get over here with the zip kick (M) finish.

Usually you zipkick and they head to the wall and you backflip to the other side of the screen for distance....NOT THIS TIME!
In the corner they wall bounce a split second after you backflip and now they are stuck the entire flight back to midscreen as a vulnerable punk who is flying within arms length of you. So now as you fly back combo up and summon your one air assist to catch you for a relaunch upon landing.

I've found that using Sentinel's mini sentinels is slow enough that I can extend my combo longer with him in the air than with other assists that would take over the hits sooner. Plus he throws them back into the corner for me to start the pain all over again.

This setup usually KO's a lot of people without ANY hyper or x-factor once I get it going. Plus if they try to advance guard me off the setup Sentinel buys me the pressure needed to get back in and do his standing heavy which hits as an overhead and eats their guard thats being used to stop Sentinel's assist. Plus the damage! Spencer is a beast with good health and Sentinel is well known for both.

X-factor this shit and watch them become free. Now if only I can get my Haggar pipe assist to time with my "get over here" to turn my grab into an instant bounce for big combo.

Yeah...Spencer/Sentinel/Haggar

Team Bionic Mango Pipe

EDIT:
More PIPE HYPE! He loses but the pipe was enough to SCARE Justin Wong's Wolverine playstyle

Come to think of it has anyone got any good clips of Spencer? The guy destroys in teams and can use his zipline to escape and out distance a lot of hypers. He's a beast for power on his regulars and his bionic arm is the fastest full screen hyper you could wish for to cut off other hypers. Plus all the wall bounce and launch with him on top of the big overhead punch normal that eats standing guards alive.

Why no clips yet? Someone please fix the lack of Spencer in this thread!

I found it difficult to do anything with Spencer. But I suck at the game so I can't really comment on how a good player would do.

Maybe that's why we haven't seen much of him.
