- In Marvel, a simple L > M > H > launch > L > M > H > QCF+LM requires no timing, launches the opponent into low orbit, and blasts them with a giant laser beam or some shit.

It's the ultimate instant gratification fighter.

Great, this is what I'm talking about lol.

When you slam them to the ground they bounce pretty high back in the air, like a hop distance it seem. More combos.

In SF4 and SSF4 I would spend hours and hours trying to nail combos that are incredibly strict. And a good amount were needed for the trials, useless as they were. I gave up on Abel's final combo, and I have to get lucky on some common combo that DJ use to allow him to set up his ultra. Normally I have to use his ultra naked, or on reaction to something (which fails usually with U2 since he seemingly take a huge step forward and always end up behind the person jumping in and should land in front of him).

Wouldn't air C blast them back to the ground, effectively ending the combo?
Sorry for the noob question.
Some people were saying that S (launch button) is the only normal that causes knockdown, at least for some characters.

Did they ever say why the SE is so limited? I wasn't sure which console I wanted it for and pre-ordered the PS3 version thinking I could switch it later if I changed my mind (which I did) and now the damn thing is sold out everywhere.

Buying this game for both systems something I haven't done since MVC1 ..SOO hyped!

i feel so ashamed that i totally forgot about this game, just preordered it. Sucks its not coming out on pc, getting it on ps3.

So Hyped! Can't wait to fool around in training mode. Looking at Max's video and seeing the countless possibilities.

From SRK basics thread:

Aerial Exchange is an entirely new concept created for MvC3. In essence, after you launch, if you hit the 'E' button in the air, you'll do a special tag and continue the combo. You push a direction and Exchange to hit the opponent that direction and tag out. Note that if you an attempt an aerial exchange, and your opponent matches your input, they do a counter, and knock you out of the combo while negating the tag A combo following an aerial exchange also generates substantially increased amounts of super meter. Hitting 'neutral' E hits the opponent to the ground in a ground bounce. If you're at the lowest air level you can follow it up with any OTG combo. The neutral E cannot be countered/broken

yes, it was. Couldn't tag out... stupid ps1 except for that crossover mode.
I think there was a mode where you could but you would have to mirror match your opponent due to RAM limitations.

yea, it's crossover mode. That's how I played it back then.

Can't wait to finally play this
shaming myself, friends and family in the process due to my scrubbiness.

Looking forward to getting my ass kicked online by ya'll.

So incredibly hyped for this! I'll be joining up with scrub GAF on PS3 since I've never been a real hardcore MvC player. Also I'm using this opportunity to learn to play on a stick. Can't wait!

What system are you on?
Not to undermine Eraldocoil, but I'm thinking about making a separate scrub chat on PSN

I'm watching the Maximillian hype video for like the 7th time now. So gud.

I CANT WAIT ANYMORE, ITS MAHVEL BAYBE

360, mang.

I'd get it for PS3 but I already bought a 360 TE stick sometime ago. Gotta justify that investment by actually using the damn thing :lol

If i choose economy shipping on capcom store will i get it on release date?

Edit: ended up getting a 360 version so I can use my TE rather than my VSHG

comic-gaf, since I got the SE, I have 1 months for marvel digital comics. I think I want to read the Civil War story. Is 1 month enough time to read the whole thing?

I'm going to guess no.

You could invest a little more and have a stick that works on both systems. Sounds like it's time for a dual mod!

Depends on how long you can pry yourself away from MvC3.

I remember people in other thread saying otherwise but I need confirmation.

Depends how deep you want to get, the main story is 1 trade of 7 issues which you could easily get through in a month. Road to Civil War is probably worth it as well, the rest wasn't as good unless you are already reading Captain America.

I thought some people said they got other games (SSF4?) early because they had overnight shipping from Capcom Store?

Depends on where you live and where it ships from as well as what shipping they actually use for "standard" and how many days early they mail it, if any. If it's USPS first class that's 5-7 days. If it's USPS priority, that's 3-5 days. If it's UPS Ground, it could take a week if you're cross country.

So if you're east coast and they ship from west coast, using USPS Priority, I'd wager they'd have to ship by this Friday for you to get it on Tuesday. But if they ship from San Diego and you live in San Francisco, yeah, it might work for you.

I kinda regret selling my TE stick now because after watching that basic combo video makes me wanna get this day 1. Dante looks so fun to play

I love your User name + avatar combination.
Its silly but it works!
<3!

edit: and when are you going to surrender to the MAHVEL HYPE by changing YOUR avatar?

E coli, I will send you a PSN mail to add me the MvC3 PSN chat.

I walked away from the SSF4 scene because I don't like SF4 series as much as SF2 and SF3 series.

I got the limited edition of the 360 version reserved, are there any major differences between the ps3 and 360 ?

(Other than the obvious one.. I.e: PSN Vs Xbox Live)
