TVC as a fighting game engine wasn't low tier. It looked really nice at higher resolutions. The Wii limitations were the only thing holding it back.

She-Hulk seems to play way differently than Hulk. Hulk seems like straight up garbage for the most part, She-Hulk looks like way more fun.

MT Framework for fighting games is new. It scales really well. That's why a PC version should happen. That shit runs like a dream on modern hardware.

Why? The MT Framework Engine was used with Lost Planet 2 and RE5 and those games look gorgeous.

I wasn't insinuating nostalgia in your case; I don't really know what you've played before. Other cases tho, yeah, I've seen some hardcore 90s fans and such go on about this "chip tune techno garbage" in terms of even the basic style or genre, which is really silly considering what kinda music tons of arcade games from their glory years featured.

Personally, I do not find any of the MvC3 themes grating; but some are very average and don't stand out. Others, are exceptional. For example, I do think Spider-Man's theme totally does justice to the era of music it is channeling, and She-Hulk's Powar of Attorney Dance Party is some hot stuff.

I don't know if only one composer did the whole thing; I didn't check videos of the game credits. If it was the one guy, I have sympathy for him having to do like 60-plus pieces of music that have to evocate a wild variety of styles and moods.

He does a ton of damage, true, but he is SO immobile and none of his specials seem particularly effective. Gamma Crush is like one redeeming quality just like it was in 2.

For DLC I'm really hoping for Ghostrider (his late 90's look was always super-rad) and Carnage (as a faster, more rushdown version of Venom).

As returners I'd like to see Psylocke and someone from JoJo

p.s. the fucking palette swap of Venom with the afterimage as Carnage in MvC (or some VS game) for psx was bullshit.

Does mashing all buttons actually increase hits/damage in any way while doing any hyper combo? Did it in MvC2? Did it in any Capcom fighter ever?

X-23's character theme is some kind of crazy J-Pop that seems so out of place, but it's fun and I strangely dig it.

It did in mvc2 but someone said its out for mvc3(not sure if it has been confirmed)

Depends on the move/combo. HVB did more hits if you mash, berserker barrage did more if you mash (in the older games at least).

This is so very true. I have played songs like "Bring Da Ruckus" in my car before and I've gotten requests to turn it off. Some people are just brain dead morons, oh well.
