I recommend everyone buy the guide! Everything in there is actually useful, not to mention that there's frame data for everything. Written by really knowledgeable players that are excellent at analyzing a game. Obviously the game's going to evolve, but the guide lays out all the necessary basics for both the system mechanics and the characters. Very very good starting ground unlike the SF4 and SSF4 guides.
 
Though these guys don't know wtf they are talking about their stream has been holding us down all day.

I'm getting it for sure. Old school fighter guide, and good for the coffee table browsing.

Have you taken a look at it?

If so, do Jill and Shuma have regular sized sections like the rest of the characters, or just smaller, footnote-like sections?

I stand by the Colonel, Ed Asner. The one time I went to a Popeyes, it was so shit so I never set foot in another Popeyes establishment. I am looking forward to KFCing into certain situations. So crispy!

Smaller, footnote-like sections with potentially current frame data (depending on whether it gets changed from the Dev copy to the DLC version a month from now)

They seem like they definitely know what they're talking about, they dropped some real Phoenix strats and knowledge throughout the stream.

And they're amusing too.

Yeah when he spazzed on that guy calling him a cunt and saying some really out of taste shit about paraplegics that was totally not cool, but the game commentary has been some of the best I've heard so far.
 
Sort of OT, but does anyone know of a decent bluetooth (PS3) for under $20? I'd like to get one to talk to my fellow GAF scrubs while we play/practice.

Oh man, thanks for the heads up, Enzo. I have a hard-on for underdogs and I'm tempted to main Ryu just because he seems to be so completely overshadowed by the rest of the cast.

I take it back about Bionic guy. I totally see his worth now. Dude seem to be very awesome. I remember my first impression was from him missing all of his arm grabs. It seems it's because people were blocking and I expected the arm grabs to be grabs and not a type of attack.

There's a section explaining the system mechanics and the game. The guide is seriously everything you need to understand the game, it will greatly expedite the process :)

Yeah that guide is the real deal, anyone that wants to seriously play the game should pick it up. Haven't seen one that good since the sf anniversary guide *best guide ever made*
