just bought a 360 but not specifically for this game but i have a feeling this will be the only one i will be playing.

On topic (and to make myself seem like I'm not using this as a GAF chat room) this is one of the very few fighting games of any type where every character I see next makes me want to learn and use them. I think I'm gonna have to main random button at some point during this game's lifetime.
 
Was interviewing today in SF, my hotel is like 8 minute walk from the event, but didn't realize it was going on until an hour ago. Shame about the super long line, but I did get some alright tacos from a cart. What was I missing out on besides playing the game?

This whole thing was fucking pitiful. Seriously, real talk, I feel like canceling my preorder. I feel like it'll only remind me of this terrible event.

I had a feeling it was that bad, but listening to you makes it feel even worse.

The last Capcom event I went to was for SFIV and that seemed a hell of a lot more organized (requesting to be on the guest list to be given the location) in getting people in. Also everything just seemed smoother.

This time though, it was a major underestimation on Capcom's part to not only openly give out the location on Facebook but to choose such a tiny venue.

I really wished I could've gotten inside to the party, but it seemed like Capcom was doing everything it could to dissuade true fans from attending.

Are these events free? I wonder if it's a financial cost issue not securing a bigger venue. I'm sure people are willing to pay $5-10 for the party. More people and more stations.
 
So when did they accidently confirm that Frank West is in the game? Was this earlier this year before the build rosters had changed or sometime recently that they flubbed and said we'd have to "wait and see" who voiced him as if he was already decided upon for DLC?

So confused.

I was at the end of that line. They told me straight up and I left way earlier than 25 minutes ago.

A lot of people wanted to stick around regardless of having an actual ticket or not. Maybe you were mislead? One guy even joked about bum rushing the place.

There was a group at the end of the line earlier. It was about an hour or two before it opened when they were told to leave. Another set still showed up and started lining back up at the end, they didn't say anything to them when i was there. So i guess they were told to go after i left.

I am taking a perverse satisfaction in hearing how evil Phoenix seems to be in practice, after all the theory fighter relegated her to "pointless joke character" status due to her health and dying in one combo. Folks really ought to stop assuming the game is as unbalanced as MvC2 and that Capcom is trapped in the 90's. If they put a character like Phoenix in, then somebody did have an idea of how she could be played effectively.

Hell, Dan isn't even "90's Dan" in Super SFIV. And he is /supposed/ to be a joke.

That's thing about public events. Anybody can just enter on a first come, first serve basis. I'm willing to bet half of those people aren't even there for the game but for the party, music, etc.

Super Skrull is such a beautiful and elegant solution to the prohibition of the Fantastic Four in these games. All their powers are too boring on their own for one character It's perfect.
