Well, I'm definitely picking Felicia.

I'm thinking something along the lines of teaming up Felicia with Viewtiful Joe. The third character is still up in the air. I'm thinking Thor, Iron Man or Hsien-ko, for vastly different reasons.

But Joe/Felicia/??? is what I'm starting out with. We'll see who gets on third.
 
I'm going out in the wilderness for a little holiday, so hopefully the media blackout makes me forget how excited I am for this game to drop. Hopefully I come back and the games street date has been broken.

It's the 17th for us in Aus which is practically the day after US official. Both SF4 releases were early though, cross fingers.
 
Am I the only one actually interested in playing as Haggar? Also, is it weird that I am possibly thinking of using a team of Dante/Deadpool/Haggar?

Ugh, the second I type that I realize I also really want to use Cap, Iron Man, Spidey, Wesker, Taskmaster, Viper...

What I got to play of Haggar was really fun. He is totally mashable and makes everyone lol. Being pushed full screen back by hailstorm and a good keep away team makes me sadface though.

In a game full of superpowers and lasers, Haggar is just muscles and a led pipe. I definitely see the appeal. :)
 
I'm just picking whoever because I'm garbage tier. These teams are all probably awful.

Dante is a permanent fixture for me.

Seriously considering:
Dormammu, Wesker, Zero, Viper, Lei Lei, Morrigan, Akuma, Spidey

Some combination therein, probably. Ideally, I'll have Dante + 2 chicks (Viper, Morrigan to start?)

spider-man/ryu/iron man - my usuals.

spider-man/dante/iron man - just in case ryu somehow sucks in this game (which ive heard he does/doesnt)

c.viper/trish/storm - my all female powerhouse team.

deadpool/akuma/chris - run and gun/projectile team.
 
I bit on that deal since EBgames messed up my preorder and I only had the regular edition on hold. With 10% off and the exchange being okay, shouldn't be more than retail here + HST. You also get a XXL shame tarp T-Shirt. I think you get the game on release day because on my invoice the shipping date is Feb 10. If you want a deal; usually you can get (some) new release games from Dell.ca for 49.99 during the first week. I got Halo Reach at that price on release day.
 
Dante is probably a lock on pretty much all my teams, he's versatile enough to seem like it'll work.

Starting with Dante/Deadpool/Wesker since they seem easy to DHC and are able to mix keep away with rushdown. I'm really interested in pretty much all the cast aside from the Street Fighters, though.
 
God damn, I can't stand the guy on this WEGOTITEARLY stream. It's a fucking video that you probably bought from a Mom and Pop store and you're playing it in your parents basement...you aren't breaking the fucking law! Stop begging for attention and just play the fucking game.
 
The three teams I'll be playing around with to start:

Viper/Lei Lei/Dante
Wesker/Morrigan/Trish
X-23/Dormammu/Deadpool

I may mix and match with these teams but we'll see.

Watching someone do the level 10 trials and they're bullshit since you can't view them in their entirety since they only show 8 moves at a time as you go along.

edit - nm, it's in the pause menu to see the whole thing. Phew.

Yeah, same here. I don't know what team I'll settle on but it's guaranteed to be Dante/?/?. Been waiting to see him in a crossover fighter since DMC1.

Not really. but the idea of a Hulk team rounded out by Wolverine, (because he must be on EVERY TEAM EVAR,) amuses me.

Everyone is subject to change except Iron Man. So many characters I want to try out. Wesker looks great, Doom looks pretty good and I really want to see how Amaterasu is.
 
People who intend on main-ing people who are locked -- what will you do first?

I'm really interested in Lei Lei, but I don't know that I want to play through arcade 3x to unlock her first (I think she's third... akuma>sentinel>lei lei>taskmaster, right?).
If you really earn PP for doing everything, I'm thinking of doing mission mode for the characters I listed in my post (especially Dante) to get a grip on anything before I worry about arcade mode/training mode/online.
 
I guess for starting teams I'll probably go with

Dante/Joe/Ameterasu
as Team Kamiya. I was surprised at how many times this team showed up but I guess I shouldn't have been.

Spidey/Rad/Lei Lei
as The Swingers Club. All three characters look like a lot of fun

Trish/Joe/Ameterasu
as True Team Kamiya. Because you can argue that Dante is not to version Kamiya created.

Trish/X-23/C. Viper
as The Woman's Fighter Team. This looks like a fun team that can do some good rushdowns.

I'm just jumping right into arcade mode with my first team, I won't touch training/mission mode until I get everyone atleast.

That's my team for day one. Will throw in some Ryu, Wolverine, Akuma, and probably Dante to get the right feel for my play style.

Just popping in to this thread for the first time. I haven't been following the character reveals but I am really quite shocked there is no Mega Man. When I think Capcom, I think Mega Man. Hopefully there'll be some secret unlockable characters they haven't revealed yet.

I actually like unlocking characters in fighters so it doesn't bother me and I have no choice really since I need Sentinel and Hsien-Ko to complete my tri-fecta with Chun-Li.
 
I will pay Capcom for MegaMan DLC. I actually am leaning towards MegaMan Volnutt because I'm playing Legends for the first time right now.

Off-topic, but: How is that? I've never played it. I only remembered it existed at all since they announced MML3 for the 3DS.
