Wish I had a U.S friend sometimes, amazon.com gets such better deals than amazon.ca, not funny in the slightest.

Don't mean to be a dick but I find it hard to trust some guy on a message board with 150 dollars. It also in no way addresses the problem, there's no legit way to actually buy them, it's ridiculous.

Hit up that buy/sell/trade thread in the future here on Gaf in the community Tab. Sticked at the top. Go in there, and just make your plea on a page or two, and if it's not working maybe offer to pony up $5.00 for them to take the time to help you out. It's technically free money for them to just help a Gaffer out.

1) Canada Gaffer wants item X
2) Asks USA Gaffer to order and ship it to themselves/Canada Gaffer paypals them to do so
3) Once USA Gaffer gets item, they mail it to Canada.
4) ???
5) Profit.

The buy/sell/trade thread I will say is 99% legit people just like you or me. You can look at a big list of people who have done business on Gaf, and how the transaction went. If the person is a trusted Gaf b/s/ter who's done like 30 transactions... why would they throw that all out the window to screw you over? 1 bad mark on Gaf with a transaction without remedying it(refunds), means that person will never be able to do a deal on here since no one will trust them. Just how it is.

I trust Gaf more with selling and buying used games and things of that nature, than I do something like ebay.

There are courier services where you can have goods sent to the company and the company will then send the goods to you. I've done this with a GAFfer actually. It's like a much more realized P.O box type thing.

I refuse to buy anything off Ebay for the same reason. Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait until shit stops sucking and Markman and the Mad Catz guys stop hating on Canada.

Also, this is a great idea.

Oh and I should note if you do your business with PayPal with someone, you can bring up a dispute with them if someone doesn't fulfill their side of the transaction to get your money.

It def. sucks Canadians have to jump through extra hoops, but you guys do have options you can look into and come out a winner.

I think the only way you could get ripped off doing my Gaf idea is if you do PayPal GIFT with someone on Gaf who has no b/s/t feedback. In that case you are setting yourself up for failure.

If you do PayPal with a Gaffer who has a TON of feedback AKA they use Gaf to do their business on a constant basis, then you are set. Non Gift PayPal = you get your money back if you get ripped off by other person.

Plus, Kadey's courier service idea sounds even more genius. Ask her about that more in a PM.

fyi Amazon.com ships sticks to Canada (you do pay a premium sadly due to customs and whatnot) but they do often have sales though.

No, it's not just that. Half of it is my total reluctance to use any of those kinds of services because I don't trust anything I can't immediately demand a refund from the company I bought the item from. The other half is not wanting to give money to a company that doesn't even want to sell me something.

EDIT: I should add that's why the question to Markman was why Madcatz keeps hatin on Canada.

6 days! I've been going through as many gameplay vids as I could find and I've decided Wesker vs Chris is definitely my favorite. It's the first time I've seen a Wesker player show off what he's capable of and my excitement to play him has consequently gone through the roof. I am officially co-opting Wesker's intro line and making "closing the book" my new euphemism for kicking ass.

It seems like you can't just throw Phoenix in a team - you have to build a team around her. I think Seth even said that her assists are mediocre.

Try GamesForCanada, they're pretty reputable. Only reason I avoid them right now is the website is pretty log-jammed from the holiday season, so I'm going to wait until it clears up a bit.

So the question is, is this just a common issue for Canada in general? Is it just certain companies/sites or you guys are pretty much screwed no matter where you want to import something from?

Might be just your country needs to step their game, but I 100% don't know how Canada's import taxes or w/e would cause a price hike works.

If a TE isn't an option, maybe see if Hori sticks ship to Canada cheap.
 
So, why does Spencer's robot arm always stay "away" from the camera.

His robot arm switches from left arm to right arm depending on which way he's facing. Same with Taskmaster.

Most places I want to buy something are located within the U.S, and if they're actually willing to ship outside the U.S, the shipping costs are a premium. Most sites just don't offer shipping to Canada though. This wouldn't be an issue if the sales were reflected on both sites of Amazon. The U.S gets all these awesome sales and I'm sitting here looking at Tales of Vesperia for 59.99. :( Doesn't even make any sense because Canada is near parity with the U.S dollar, but Canada never adjusts properly to the strengthening of the dollar. -_-

I have a $20 gift card on my Amazon account, so I thought, "Hey $20 bucks off?! WHY THE HELL NOT?!". Turns out I was hit with a with nearly $20 of shipping and importing fees (combined).. so I ended up saving 3-4 dollars, but the game would take 6-10 days to ship, so I assume I wasn't going to get it on launch day.

So.. I might just walk to a local BB and buy it from there or something.

Ugh Hori. I already have a TE, a round 1, that I paid through the nose for. I always wanted a second though, or at least wanted to trick it out with art and plexi. Shipping those always has shipping costs more than the actual items so I never go ahead and do it. Sucks.
