I kind of think Elektra's potential playstyle has already been covered by X-23. Quick chick with short-range blades... I could definitely see that 'disappearing act' super as being originally conceptualized as something for Electra, among other moves.

Because of the interviews saying that Elektra was actually in the game? Bison was one of the finalists as well if i recall.


Still holding out hope for Phoenix Wright

I'm not sure where she came from in the rumour initially, but she makes sense if you follow my earlier logic. Look at the stages:

(1) Ghouls 'N Ghosts stage for Arthur
(2) Asgard stage for Thor
(3) Daily Bugle stage for Spiderman
(4) Shield 'Carrier' stage for Captain America (and anyone else related to Shield)
(5) RE lab stage for Wesker/Chris (and Jill)
(6) Galactus stage for Galactus
(7) Danger room for training makes sense, ties to any X-men characters
(8) Metro City stage for Haggar
(9) The Hand Hideout for ?????

I may have missed one or two, but you can see the pattern. So look at (9); why is it there? My guess is because they planned to include someone from The Hand and thought the stage would be cool. They probably cut Elektra back when they had to take Frank out. When they fix Frank (whynot, all the modeling and such is probably done, just fixing tech problems before making him available seems to be what's left), they'll put Elektra back in with him.

Elektra is probably the most popular/well known Marvel character associated with The Hand. Only DD rivals her, but I'd think they'd add her before him.
 
lol srk gen discussion still think the character data is just placeholder like BB. The files were the same size as the other character files, with music, Va, animation and everything.

Meant not just physical traps, but combo traps. Trish does indeed have both of those.

Trish can combo into her traps too. She has a loop off one of them. Everyone can boost their attack power with xfactor though... do you really want a character that gets a quad damage boost?
 
So is anyone showcasing any new combo setups utilizing Wolverines new ability to dash behind his opponents with an attack. I figure he should be great for rush down since this should have him screwing over people who aren't used to the fact that block spamming won't help much against him now.

Which is bullshit, since DD is consistently Marvel's best writing character. Out of any character not in, he deserves it the most.

No ofcourse not, part of the reason I related him to MODOK is the low base damage output. Which, from there and style changes to an aggressive style, would reward aggressive rushdown with slightly stronger damage output, with increased damage vulnerability, and vice versa for a defensive, turtling style. Perhaps I should've explained that further.

Why do you think he'll play exactly like Trish cause he has the broad game style of a trapper. Or why cause Arthur is in there isnt more room for keepaways? It seems less a matter of MM possibly have playstyle overlap and more anti MM sentiment cause of his loud fanbase.

Huh I don't care if he's in the game or not, the more characters the better, but play style overlapping is a bit lame.

But thats just it. His playstyle overlap is a hypothetical trapper/keepaway character. Thats like says man Wesker and x-23 are lame cause they are rush down characters like Wolverine.
