Capcom needs to take ads out on 2dopeboyz,mediatakeout, worldstarhiphop and nahright. This is not a joke post. Capcom advertisement get at me.

Edit: also this game will not grace my hands any time soon. Capcom store still has not shipped my 360 Special Edition. Luckily i have a ps3 normal edition on preorder at gamestop so I will pick that up at midnight monday.

This is so frustrating if true...

If we've got to miss spectator mode at launch they should be doing more to communicate the fact that it's already in the works. A lot of people that I've spent countless hours playing MvC2 with have already gotten it into their heads that the game is weak because it's a button masher Tatsunoko clone due to online leaks. People fall prey to rumors and hearsay way too easily and this is the kind of thing that makes or breaks franchises, genres and even consoles. They've seriously got their heads up their asses if they think that this will help grow the fighting game community as a whole.

This kind of practice is exactly what will lead to another lull in the fighting game genre.

I can't disagree at all on this one. The money won't be there for them the next time around if they try to skimp on features that should be standard in the genre. Hell, I already know five people who decided to skip on the launch thanks to the loss of spectator mode alone. Capcom has to do more regarding communication among their teams because this attitude does both the developer and consumer a disservice when it kills sales and franchise notoriety.
 
Found another place still taking pre-orders for the CE thanks to the homies in Canada Gaming Deals thread. BACK IN THE GAME BABY!

CanadaGAF hit up that thread as some places do still have the MvC3 CE.

You forgot ThisIs50. Seriously, game is dope as fuck, and people on NH comments even love fighting games. Fuck, everyone loves MvC3. AND IT ISNT EVEN OUT YET.
 
lol both my buddies came through for me (never happens) and now I have two copies of the game. Guess I'm making a lucky friend very happy tonight.

The problem with this is this: Ill let others "vote with their wallets" and not buy the game. They will miss out of the fun. If I have to choose between a good, but not "feature-perfect" game and a "so-so, but feature perfect", Id choose good. If you can choose between a lot of AAAA+ games (like what is on FPS market nowadays), suddenly every developer has to be aware of what their rivals offer.

What is MVC3's rival? What can "voting with wallet" do for the fighter-thirsty player?
Well, they can continue playing SSFIV. (Id say okay, if AE silence were not too painful)
Or they can continue playing Blazblue/buy Blazblue CS (Well.. it is a lot more niche, with 1/3rd roster size of MVC3!!!!)
What is the upcoming fighter rival? Hm, Capcom's own SFIII Online, Capcom's SFxTekken, and Namco's Tekken Tag 2. In next year, realistically.

So I say yeah, we can voice opinions, but I would NOT vote with my wallet in this case and skip the game just because you cant spectate. I want to PLAY.

Also I'm going to try playing on a pad I guess. Didn't want to buy yet another stick for $50. Sigh.
 
Played TvC for the first time online today.

Beat everyone until I ran into a Zero.

Needless to say... I am NOT looking forward to anyone who plays them... and if they do, I automatically hate them wholly, as they don't count as a serious competitor to me.

Such BULLSHIT in TvC

Though really someone in another MvC3 thread mentioned some people didn't get Dead Rising orders for up to 2 weeks or not at all when they ordered from Capcom store.

On srk it is confirmed that the way there are fulfilling orders is a cluster#$% . Some people ordered day one and don't have theirs shipped and some people just ordered and theirs shipped. So I have no clue wtf is wrong with them.

I wasn't even looking forward to this game much, considering I haven't really played MvC since the arcades in Elementary School, but the fact that I can get it right now if I wanted to is really tempting...

I'd have to get a stick too, though. Can't imagine playing MvC with a controller pad.

MT's got the right idea. C'mon son.

Priorities man, priorities. If there's one time you should suck up to your girl and put in that extra time and work for her, it's nearing Valentines day. You can pick your copy up Tuesday.

I'm in the same boat. I just happened to have left my credit card at a restaurant near a game shop that's selling this. I have to walk for 20min to get my card back now the thought of getting this game has been polluting my mind for the past 4hrs.
