Capcom Store/Digitalriver is trying to play me on the phone. Sadly for them I get nights and weekends free. (no updates on my order and as far as I know it hasn't shipped)

I request to talk to a supervisor. They put me on hold for 15 minutes then its the same person(not a supervisor) telling me to call back in 15 minutes. I proceeded to break it down to them and say its the weekend and I don't pay for these minutes so you can keep me on hold for hours....wait i think they hung up on me while I was writing this post... false alarm the music just stopped briefly... Anyways, I told the person I will never be ordering anything from them again. They proceeded to tell me there is nothing they can do right now and I should just hang up. I said no you are going to let me talk to a supervisor....

After waiting another 30 minutes, supervisor gets on the phone and I explain to him how I still have not received an update and when I called last week they said it was going to ship on the 10th. Then I told him its unlikely I will ever order from the capcom store again. He proceeded to tell me that they are not sure whats going on with my shipment and that the shipment people don't work on the weekends....

After enough of me eloquently frying the capcom store he said they would try to change my shipping to next day air for free and he would add a note with the order in the computer to try to ensure that. Also he said that if there was a problem they would contact me on Monday. At first he was saying I was going to pay for next day air... he was mistaken. Homey don't play that

WTF. Good job, man. If I had the time and patience, I'd holler at them too.

Yeah, I know what you mean. This is certainly the last time I will order from this store, no matter what extra items that they promise. I think I would be in flames if my friend did not already own a copy and I'll be playing said copy several times during the upcoming week at college (after class, of course). I may be going tomorrow to test out the game if I'm up to it.

Has anyone started to do well with She-Hulk? Since she has to go into a stance to do some moves I wonder if that's going to hurt her playability. Same for Jill.

Stance isn't so bad. Some of her normals and specials drop you into it.

Exactly and from what I played this game is a whole lot less esoteric than 2. It plays more like Darkstalkers in Turbo or Blazblue rather than the incomprehensible at times MvC2. I loved it and I'll be first to admit I suck at MvC2.

People who are good at games that play nothing like Marvel 3 (though Wong does play some TvC) are mad at it because it's different? Big damn deal. They can cry me a river.

I'm having a blast playing it and doing some killer combos with pretty much everyone that I've played. That wasn't the case with MvC2 (granted there was a shitload of unlocking required for MvC2 when it first came to my arcade).

I can't wait at home for anything I'm in grad school. I usually just order my games online(usually amazon).With the capcom store coupon the CE ended up being 62 dollars and it came with the t-shirt. Seemed like a good deal at the time. The Capcom store is taking me for a right now.

When I lived back in maryland i went to mom and pops to buy games.

If you pre ordered well in advance you dont have much to worry about. I think most folks are just paranoid about the availability of the CE at retail. Lol I know I am, even asked specifically on the launch party chat but didn't get a straight answer from the PR folks.

Ordering this on Amazon has officially started my "Extra Game Credit Chain of 2011"

Got $10 for the next game from MvC3
Put that towards LA Noire or Brink which both have another $10 credit
Put that towards "Game X" which has another $10-20 credit
etc. etc. until the end of the year

By the end of the year I end up saving a good $150-200. Well worth waiting an extra 6 hours.

Yes, this control scheme is such an improvement over 2 imo. The simple controls lead to more BA combos and just seem to make everything play much faster, yet I don't feel like the game is out of my control. It's hard to explain but it's so awesome.

Because thanks to Livingsoical I only had to pay $36.20 for the special edition. And because it's a rather nice end to a day spent in classes when you come home to the game there in your mailbox just waiting for you.

No bitchin' about which characters are in and which aren't. That's because of DLC in coming. This isn't the final roster, not until Capcom says so and they are adamant about more DLC characters.

I am confident in Strider/Megaman's inclusion down the line but the other two I wouldn't bet on.

LOL @ JWong's comment about Sentinel and MVC3. Yeah go back to playing with Sentinel+Storm+Cable AGAINST Sentinel+Storm+CapCom in MVC2.

I too had trouble adapting to a stick for SFIV. Bought a Madcatz SE, and modded it with all Sanwa parts. I also changed the gate to an octagonal shape, which may have hindered the learning curve as well. To me it felt too imprecise with the DF, DB motions specifically. I sold the stick, and for this game decided to try the PDP Marvel pad that is coming out. I hope it works as well as it looks and sounds.

I too changed octagonal, but it took me months to get used to the stick... but now I would never go back, just feels like home !

Everyone's about to go in on you, but probably won't since we've been through this in every MvC3 thread.

Strider wasn't included as of yet for legal reasons, and the team found Megaman boring, and likely didn't see any unique playstyles in Silver Surfer and Cyclops.

Playstyle was the deciding factor in inclusion, not popularity. Oh and Marvel was a bitch about specific characters too, so yeah blame them.

Man did anyone see the Jill movelist? Confusing as hell, she has some stance that gives her extra moves. Then she has a LVL3 in which she is in that stance for basically a really long time. Can't wait to see the reveal trailer on her, she seems interesting although she is just another rushdown character (has very few projectiles except for her super).
