Chris is still the character I'm most excited to try out. I think he'll be the dark horse of the roster.

I got sf4 from gamestop on a monday so anything is possible.

Most wake up and random ultras were easily dodged or blocked. XFC is a way bigger and far more annoying comeback mechanic.

An ultra doesn't last 30 seconds and it can't be used as a cancel. Imagine Juri's Ultra 2 with health regen (for your whole team), damage boost (for your whole team), and the ridiculous speed - now imagine her being able to combo into it from more than just 1 or 2 ways. Oh, and it shuts down chip damage too.

Yeah, you can do it too, it works both ways, but the issue is that its a jacked mechanic that has a ton of impact on the match.

Game is still fun, but Mahvel didn't need it.

No, what he's trying to say is that even though MvC2 had more characters, MvC3's cast is way more diverse in playstyles, and looks to be much more (relatively) balanced. And I agree wholeheartedly, MvC3's cast shits on MvC2's even though MvC2 is one of my favourite games of all time.

Every character in MvC3 seems so fleshed-out and fully realized compared to some of the characters in MvC2. The MvC3 versions of certain MvC2 characters are even buffed in ways that make them more competitive and fun to use (e.g. Spider-Man, Wolverine, Felicia). Also, MvC2 also had some characters that were trash and only useful for trolling (or ones that were basically palette swaps like War Machine and Bonerine), which resulted in padding the final roster count.

Im not a huge fan of Xfactor but I like it more than Ultras. More strategy involved with using X-Factor and there are ways to counter a lot of the shenanigans. Ultras you simply gain for gettin molly whopped for the most part. At least with X-Factor both players start with it and its up to them as to how they utilize it.

Haunts, what's your take on viper?

Shes good but not the easiest to play. She can dish out insane damage but also is a major meter hog. She does well with Wesker cause she can call him for a low, then air dash in with light for and overhead -- this is unblockable when timed right. Good DHC possibilities with Wesker as well. Hey burning kick is an overhead and a cross up, which makes it a good assist as well.

Shes cool but gets blown up by Storms jump back E and other characters that can easily keep her out. She has like no zoning options whatsoever.

chill out before even playing the game. i know you've probably watched a bunch of these streams with the same 3 characters but give the mechanic a chance before you call it a game breaker!
