Naw... its a whole different level of bullshit. You gotta consider that Dark Phoenix's life drains without XFC at a pretty steady clip. With XFC, she gets health back just as fast as anyone (yes, I know she doesn't have any kind of health at all but you already have to risk the entire match just to get a jab in on her) and her chip damage for normals goes through the roof along with everything else.

Add on the fact that she turns shit into shmup... combine that with her teleports and speed become gdlk+ and she's a SNK boss character.
 
Even if such and such top player doesn't play this game at EVO/Tournaments/Whatever, there are going to be a shit load of others who wont give a flying fuck and still play it and get dat money.

I guarantee you once this game picks up steam and there are like 2k prize pots, money matches and whatnot competitive players, whether they love the game or hate, will play it jsut as much if not more than SSF4.
 
Okay I need to figure out when it's best for me to switch characters. Most of my losses so far have to do with me playing like this is old-school KOF because I don't know any better. :/
 
Ok watching a stream, why don't people tag out EVER? They have like half a bar that's red that could recover, but they just keep at it.
 
It's funny watching people play against Phoenix on the khaos stream. The opponent is so afraid of Dark Phoenix that they don't even attack and just try to run. :lol

I've played both, and the 360 version definitely has less frame dropping.

As a person who hasn't played the Vs. series, I think that's going to be the biggest adjustment. Tagging out and using assists.

Depends on playstyle though. Some guys prefer to stretch out a match and keep their assists, others like a race to the finish line.

btw, assists get fucked up in this game... one bad call and your #2 is looking at getting 60% of his life chopped

Hope so, I'm honestly a little bored that the only game that gets exposure is SSF4. Haven't gotten a chance to play much and probably won't until I get out college, but community seems really resistant to non SF fighters and with AE looking like the Yun and Yang show the game seems stale.
 
If something isn't discovered to counter sent then they really need to nerf him. I'm constantly winning with him and I know it isn't right.

Tournament wise, sure. Also, didn't the re-release of MvC2 on PSN/XBLA sell amazingly well and much more than HDR?

Marvel has a huge following. It's not even out yet. If it's a great game, it'll get play for a while. If it isn't, then it'll get tossed aside or get revised versions that are able to catch on.

Sad that there's framerate issues on the PS3 version in comparison to the 360 version. I thought all versions that have been demo'd were on the PS3, too? It's ridiculous to think that this problem exists...

Then stop picking Sentinel if it makes you feel that way. Or wait until the quality of play increases and Sent is dying in one combo.

I don't know how long I can watch this Khaos screen. I can only take Wolverine and Phoenix running through Tron for so long.

Nowhere near unplayable. LegatoB never said it was unplayable either.

There are only a handful of games in existence that are truly "unplayable."
 
Got it earlier today from a store on Steinway. I played for an a little more over an over and then went back to street fighter before taking a break. It's what I expected. I got plenty to learn tho.

Played a few online matches. Plenty of others seem to have it too.

I haven't played much but right now my main team is Ryu, Captain America and Wolverine

It's fine. There are occasional frame drops during pre-match cinematic and when there is a shit load (and I mean a SHIT LOAD) of stuff happening. And I say drop, it goes from 60 to 30 (I guess). It's not a slide show.
