60 fps to 30 fps is not that good when the 360 version apparently has almost zero frame drops. Guess I'll mostly stick with the 360 version and only play the ps3 version to whoop rors and kag's butts.
I'm thinking of bailing out if it's true. :\

You did it wrong.

Huh, what were SSFIV's issues? all I remember were a lower resolution during ultra, some reported slight lag, but I never noticed that. On the other, something as noticeable and distracting as slowdowns/frame drops will piss the hell out of me.

Super didn't drop res during Ultra animations, that was corrected from Vanilla, which did. I'd wait until Digital Foundry or Lens of Truth does their thing before jumping to conclusions. Regardless of issues, PS3 version is the Evo standard.

I'm going 360 because that's where the family plays and even though I have a converter, my sticks are for 360.

Anyway, it was awesome to see Seb at the Arc in that video! Dude did some great work back when Vanilla was the hot stuff.

Jazz what the fuck are you talking about 40 pounds a month?

...you get different rates in Canada?

Or I managed to put moth instead of year. On auto-renew I just assume MS are stealing all my money.

Jinfash said:
Issues with Ultras wouldn't fuck up the flow of the game though :(

I really wouldn't worry about it man, if it were a huge issue it probably would have been brought up in testing or we'd have herd about it more frequently. If it proves to still be a big issue they'll likely patch it.

Oh, kay then. It's per year dude. And it's not for nothing. Not sure if you've got alot of experience using both platforms, but XBL is superior to PSN in every way but price. Hell I'd pay that for party chat alone. Cross game chat too.

Wait, what's going on here? Game drops to 30fps online on the PS3 version?
Nah, it'll drop at random times where there's A LOT going on on the screen. Can't be any worse than the terrible slowdown on the PS3 port of MvC2.

Seriously. Y'all need to chill.

Let DF/Lens of Truth get the facts out before you jump.

When would they go about doing that, though? Not in time to save a purchase. :/

No one was freaking out before what Duckroll said. I'm sure plenty of people have obtained early copies of either version and we'd have heard something by now if it was really that much of a difference.

Morning of launch hopefully.

In this case, "inferior" most likely is a few less detailed textures in a floor tile on the danger room stage and a drop here or there during intro animations or ending sequences. Hopefully it's nothing more, though I think if it was, Capcom wouldn't have been parading the PS3 version everywhere and we would have heard about major issues by now.

Over reaction by a few that will get picked up by console warriors that will never touch this game as fodder for their holy war.

Negative.

u got jokes

You're right. And SSFIV had full res ultras again on both platforms, so maybe they figured out how to optimize for the PS3.
Not really...Sf4 and SSf4 uses a different game engine which was co-developed by capcom and dumps. Mahvel 3 is all capcom, baby.

That's my main gripe. How would they have been demo'ing the PS3 version this whole time with these problems only to release it to us with issues?

No, Eighting co developed MvC 3.

Are the framedrops during online or do they occur offline as well? If it's online only then it's cool since I plan on keeping my ass beatings to local competition only.:lol

We'll know for sure once the game is properly analyzed by pros with the right equipment, but if there are issues with slow down, then it would likely effect both online and offline play.

Hope they can do it by 8:00 A.M. Tuesday.

Yes, exactly why people need to wait for Digital Foundry before they jump to conclusions on specifics of the framedrop.

God damn, been playing this non-stop for how long now? 10 hours?

GOD DAMN.

GOD DAMN

I don't see why we should wait for DigitalFoundry, if it is a big problem we would have heard an huge outcry from reviewers, previewers and early purchasers by now.

if you are really concerned you should hold off on your purchase.

People like max, marn, spooky and company have been playing quite a bit and have not said anything. If it is actually occurring it must not be game breaking.

Why wait? We've canceled so many preorders already, what's one more drop in the bucket?
about 10 here

I actually haven't pre-ordered. I'm going to Target Tuesday morning in hopes of tracking down a CE. Otherwise I'd just wait it out.

You're not a real fan. You need to cancel at least 3 preorders for the full Marvel experience.
