Nah, it'll drop at random times where there's A LOT going on on the screen. Can't be any worse than the terrible slowdown on the PS3 port of MvC2.

this I've been playin the ps3 version all day today and I havent noticed anythign that might make it unplayable.

I have played about a hundred games so far online and offline on the ps3 and have noticed very little difference in the framerate when the connection is good. Lots of lag at times but other than that when the connection is good it feels just like offline mode.

I don't know if it's actually 30 FPS, but it certainly isn't 60. Aside from the pre/ post-game sequence (shows your characters and the camera pans to the other three) frame drops are a rare occurrence. They only happen when, say, both people are using assists with tons of particle effects. I noticed it more on the Kattlerox stage, than any other stage. Again, they don't just happen. It's most likely a result of too many things going on screen. Because Kattlerox is already a busy stage, it's probably much easier to induce frame drops. But this is only from my observations. Others may have experienced something completely different.

But hey, 99.9% of the time, it runs in silky smooth 60 FPS. Tomorrow night, I'll see if the 360 version is any different.

Again, PS3 version is a little over 3 GB, with a mandatory install that is nearly 1.5 GB.

if you want to fuck people up (even harder), you'll need to save the x-factor for dark-phoenix.

from there, you have a couple options: spam qcf + c; they'll likely die from chip damage or even trying to get in on you.

or

backwards srk + burn out beak + whatever combo you want and it's pretty much game over. it's nearly instantaneous.

oh, and if you end up in front of them, you can spam jab x 12 and the projectiles alone will rack up about 300-400k damage.

Die with 5 bars in stock as Phoenix, get resurrected as Dark Phoenix.

You don't *need* X-Factor, but it counteracts one affect of using Dark Phoenix: Her life constantly drains while in Dark Phoenix mode. Activate X-Factor using all 4 buttons (L,M,H,S) and its pretty much god mode.

Once Dark Phoenix' life depletes, she comes back as Phoenix with VERY VERY little life that will probably be taken out with whatever attack you killed off Dark Phoenix with anyways.
