Well if Adam Sessler ever commentates MvC3, his random nonsense will be more appropriate here than for Street Fighter 4, which is a good thing.

Isn't all online fighting multiplayer subject to lag...?

Score should of been docked a point for the no spectating alone.

Someone needs to show Haggar's lariat assist in action. I remember hearing it was one of the best assists in the game.

If Haggar's viable, i'm really thinking of rolling Arthur/Haggar/Sentinel...

Adam Sessler should commentate every game ever, especially Marvel. As long as there's a guy with him doing play-by-play it'll be fine. He's the best unintentional color commentator ever.

You're in NYC? Isn't that where the street date for MvC3 was basically Friday?

Pretty much all the NYC stores that sold it early had just the regular version, not the CE version. I really wanted the CE version but none of them were carrying it. I'm guessing the quanity is very limited and only the bigger stores (like Best Buy) have them.

haunts' review sounded a lot more like an opinion piece and feature rundown. The review should address online too, but he straight up said he hadn't tried it and is going off of other's anecdotal evidence. Rest is legit though.

Haunts, congratulations on that review. It is excellent,
and I am hoping to try and match it when I will publish mine - of course that would only cover one week of playing, but anyways :D
, and you pointed out three very important factors!

One is that you should leave any expectations and preconceptions out of the house when you play this game the first time. Second is about X-Factor being a bit less annoying tool when you do not get it by letting yourself beaten up. Oh, and third, that how awesome would it be to have a mission mode where you face certain matchups and types (like a runaway Arthur with an annoying assist), and you gotta use your own team through several different types, figuring out which assist does and does not work against these styles.

Yeah, but I had no idea street date would be broken by so many in NYC. I suppose this was a good learning experience at least.

I was also okay with getting the game on release date. The problem that is getting to me is that Capcom has no even confirmed a shipment yet. That really stings more than not getting it early.

Pretty much this.

I just wanted to get my hands on the PS3 CE and didn't expect to find it in stores without a pre order. I've also got tons of other stuff on my plate at the moment so I figured I shouldn't get to worked up as long as I get the game on release.

It's awesome, other DPs can get stuffed early, his can't. However, I've been whiffing Amaterasu completely so I guess I shouldn't use it like SF4. His splash and dropkick stick out ALL FUCKING DAY til he lands and his grab ranges are sick.

wth are they talking about? I have the worst internet connection since my wireless router isn't powerful and on a floor below me. Out of 70 matches played so far there was only lag in 1 of them.

I really feel bad because I bought DC: Universe and its painfully obvious that I'll never play it again because of this game...
Already got it for PS3.

Team THX (Trish, Hulk, X-23), Blowin your shit up.
*noted*

ass-woopin's a'comin.

How do I do the anti air counter? When I switch team in the air and continue my combos, sometimes they counter it and they cancel my combo.

They have to match the same input when you bring in your teammate to continue the air combo.

Amazon still hasn't shipped my copy. >.< It's suppose to be release-date delivery!

Every time I've gotten release date delivery, amazon's page does not actually show it shipped until the evening before release date. It has always made it in time.

Release Date Delivery uses express overnight shipment, so it's similar to if you did a regular order and chose overnight shipping before the cutoff time in whatever is the early evening, your time zone.

I've had my CE preordered for 2 months, release date, and it only just changed to processing an hour ago.

Everyone watching Amazon /should/ be fine barring weather delays, and if they put their release date delivery pre-order in more than a week ago.

Wait, so if I tag out and do L, M, H, he needs to do LMH?

Moving your stick in circle motions and spamming launch will yield a 33% chance of a counter.

No, he needs to match your S + direction command as far as I'm aware.

Oh! That easy huh? Which are the rotations that are possible?

I know only of forward.

SRK Wiki said:
Hyper Meter and Aerial Exchanges
The one exception, and this is super important, is the Aerial Exchange. This has to be noted because landing an Aerial Exchange gives you a huge Hyper Meter bonus depending on the direction of the Aerial Exchange used. Connecting a sideways Aerial Exchange gives you half an entire Level!! But even crazier yet is that a downward Aerial Exchange gives you a entire Level of Hyper Meter!! So performing a combo with two Aerial Exchanges in it can give you a ton of Hyper Meter. So if you want to play the game using a your first character as a Battery Character, Aerial Exchanges will almost always be the best way to switch to the next character. Oddly enough, however, upward Aerial Exchanges give you no Hyper Meter at all.
Pretty awesome design.

Up = most damage but no meter

Horozontal (either direction is same, even for breaking out) = 1/2 meter decent damage

Down = 1 bar of meter, no extra damage.

According to SRK, rotating the stick and mashing S gets you a 33%ish combo break, same as just randomly picking a direction.

PS - no exchange (just S without a direction) cannot be broken/countered

Is it really that hard to understand why people would ragequit over Arthur spamming daggers and lances with that Sent assist? It's the ultimate scrub killer team and even some of the really good players have a hard time dealing with it. Out of all the teams and tactics we've seen so far it has to be hands down the most lame.
I have never had so much fun being so lame. Thanks for spending all weekend bitching about Sent, guys! I never would have added him to my team if everyone didn't seem to hate him so much. He's total bullshit. It's awesome. But not as awesome as Arthur.

THE TRUE #1 BIGGEST PROBLEM WITH THIS GAME: There's no pink Thor. Didn't one of the earlier builds have a pink Thor? Why is he gone. He looked so great.

I'm having a hard time with She-Hulk's Runner's Start and it's bumming me out. I just can't do it fast enough to work it into combos. I blow.

Her Somersault Kick goes into Chariot if you hit forward right after. It's easier to use that way.

WOW just tried this out!

Up = No bar
Left/Right = ½ bar
Down = 1 bar

Though I hate pressing down while pressing S. I think I'll go for either left or right :D

THIS GAME. THIS GAME.

That's where team PMS comes into play.

Phoenix, Magneto, Sentinel

OR
Phoenix, MODOK (w lipstick), Storm.

Called retailer. They said mine will ship tomorrow. I'm scared, guys. This is the one game I can't let this not go through for.

Aerial Exchange meter boost sounds like a hilarious counter meta-game. I mean, one would assume the opponent would want to get the most meter, so you'd try to counter down, but they might know that you know that they want the most meter so they pick something else. Yomi layer 7 shit.

I'm really excited for this game. ^_^

Think I'm gonna miss Psylocke the most, though. Her Anti-Air with Magneto and Dr. Doom was boss. =/

Man I got beat bad by some guy using Zero. So I trained a bit and I can use him alright :D

I love Deadpool's quote after beating Spencer

Man, you used to be so much cooler without the dreads, but it's okay now cause the games easier now that you can jump

Anyone who plays MODOK is a good person.

Yeah, I've been using that and c.H and f.H to work around my gimpiness. I'd like to be able to do it properly mid-combo though. It looks like it's key to landing her dropkick in long combos.
