I asked this earlier but don't think i got an answer...what's a good fighting stick to get for 360? I'm getting this tomorrow and think I want one.

Check SRK's tech talk forum. I'm positive I saw a guide there for the non TE sticks from back in the SFIV days when they first came out.

Maybe you should try the game first before you spend money on a stick, unless you're already personally accustomed to MvC2 or SSFIV or somethng. :P

I never got into SFIV, so the SFIV TE stick I bought for it ultimately got tossed back into its (ridiculously awesome) box and stuff in my closet. Glad I didn't sell it, though. Once I get a few months in with MvC3 I plan to mod out the super sensitive Sanwa buttons for Seimetsu's, and maybe go with an oct-gate and battop. I'm not looking forward to swapping out the art, though. Seems tedious.

i've actually never used a stick before...but this is fucking mvc3.

i was same way with gran turismo 5. never used a wheel but picked up a g27..i have been a changed man ever since.
 
Got 2nd place at Gamestop. I could've used that tip I asked for earlier in the thread, but no one told me how to do dante's spinny flaming air move and I never figured it out. Without that bit of information, 1st place was unattainable. You really dropped the ball on this one Gaf.

fair enough, if I had the money I'd blow it all on a MvC3 stick too, I'll probably be playing this all day. Maybe I'll just settle for a Fightpad, but I don't even think Madcatz sells those in Canada. D:
 
so im on the gameshark store website...and have the mvc3 te stick in cart for *pre-order*...and ships today (2/15). i also entered in that coupon code and it is showing up...but it doesn't look like it's doing anything?

if i order this shit now will i be straight or will i get screwed?

that coupon isn't for the MVC3 stick, it is for the SF4 TE2 stick.... which is currently backordered on their site -_-

Sanford's doing shit that I didn't think was possible with Chris... dude can have multiple grenades out at once and even have the guns going off while grenades are still in the air. The land mine is apparently an anti-air too lol.

Lol what are you ranting about again? All I said was the toughest combos would take some good execution. I didn't say it was the end of all be or you have to have it, which I for one don't, all I was trying to say was it's gonna be there for high level players if they want to take it there.
 
That X-Factor stuff is hilariously overpowered.. Seems like most games are going to degenerate into waiting until you are on your last character to unleash it and destroy the other team.

not really. i've played a bunch of games and haven't felt that way. there were times where sentinel definitely got some health down with chip damage, but its pretty easy to avoid people long enough if needed.

anyhow, really curious as to how that MVC3 controller pad will turn out. i don't mind forking out $40 for it, but if it sucks i'd rather just use that money towards a real stick. hoping for some reviews soon!
 
Good lord, man. The stuff in that Sanford video... this game is gonna be real interesting to watch at EVO. People have already found so much crazy stuff.
