But in game, there is absolutely zero slowdown whatsoever even with 6 characters on the screen going apeshit.

I noticed it when playing Sentinel (sentinel charge - bombs), Dante (jam session), and any other third character. With Sent on point, using jam session, and the other player using assists too there is definitely a dip in frames. I've noticed it elsewhere too but can't remember my character selection. It's not widespread, but it happens, and it doesn't kill the action but it's just there, annoying the shit out of you.

Galactus will do this punch combo (he takes 3 swipes at you then pauses). You can jump in to the air and attack him with small air combos. You should be able to hit him 2-3x before he tries to punch you again, and you can block. Keep doing that, then he'll do this thing where he moves to the back of the screen, then rushes forward to try and grab you. Super jump (Down then Up on your pad or stick) out of the way then attack with a Super move that can be done in the air.

But really, blocking helps a lot. You can have a Ryu on your team, and his air fireballs and beam hyper (Down, down-forward, forward + 2 Attack buttons) does good damage on him.

1. How do you do knock backs, the OP doesn't say the command?

2. I'm digging the game but why did Capcom leave out any overscan options besides lifebars/super bars? I'm playing on a CRT HD with overscan and when the characters are at the edge of the screen 75% of their body goes off the screen. With the huge characters it just looks...off with characters going out of the screen space all the time. Very annoying and will affect my enjoyability of the game :(
 
Damn. I think I just need to pick a few characters and get as good as I can get with them. Whenever Jill finally hits it will likely be her, Chris and Wesker because I'm an RE whore like that.

I'm not so great but then again, it just came out today.

Snapbacks? When you make them tag? Firball + assist (the assist button hit determines which guy comes in)
 
Anyone know if any B&M stores will be stocking that Marvel pad tonight? I am going to be finishing my iL/Happ mod on my Anniversary stick tonight but I'm pretty hype about the game and want that pad, so I might just go a little nuts and get it. If I can find one.

I was playing some player matches earlier today and didn't really run into any spam. I had a guy who was using Ammy spam a little but it wasn't too bad. Besides now hating that damn dog, I had a good time. Was even using the regular 360 pad (the new one with the new dpad) and did pretty well. Only time I lost was against that damn dog.
 
I thought there was some sort of scrub central where you don't bump into players that pull the plug?

Bumped into this chump "ac pwned joo" multiple times and he pulls the plug at the last second 3-4 times already
 
Called Walmart and they had the SE in stock, so ill return my capcom store order whenever it decides to get here. Also gave me a free poster and a Rockstar Recovery, my favorite drink. So since I am in a good mood, if anyone ordered the regular edition and is into comics, someone can have my marvel comic online code.

I'm sure the system is in place. But I imagine that it's the type of thing that only starts to work after a week or two of play. Can't really do much with small sample sizes on one day of online gaming.
 
So with the SE copy...
Pros:
  • Steel Case is bad ass.
  • Color booklet is great.
  • Free Character DLC is nice.
  • Intro Comic was alright.

Cons:
  • Have to register for DLC code.
  • Comic was too short.
  • Art would have been great in high rez on the disk rather than in a tiny comic.
  • Metal case is fingerprint magnet.
  • Comic and game do not fit well in the sleeve once opened...

Overall I give the package a B+

Probably takes quite a few instances of a player doing that before they get tossed into rage-quit hell. Wouldn't be too fair to people who's power or internet goes out during a match once in a blue moon.

That sucks. If you're on XBL, select his gamertag and choose "avoid this player" from the guide.

The roster feels so small, 36 is a lot, and I understand why it's so small, but coming from MVC2 it's a definite downgrade.

Minus clone characters in MVC2, the quality is more or less the same. Putting things into perspective of course, MVC3 is gorgeous.

That is extremely annoying. Why can't people just accept a loss? Is it really going to ruin a person's life to have a bad Win/Loss record? My SSFIV record is terrible; 1:4 ratio (win:loss), but I always play a match to the very end.
 
LeMaximilian, I watched your MvC3 videos earlier today and just wanted to say you're super OG. Keep making videos because I'll keep watching. Your Wesker is beast!
